I've found a refurbished deal on the S22, so am upgrading from my A52s after 2 and a half years. Been getting way too slow, laggy lately, and battery has suffered too. Whilst A series are good value, definitely not built to be longer term devices compared to the flagships.

The battery on S22 is realy strange. Someday I will strugle to make and other I've got like 45%-50% at the end of the day. It required to get charged at 100% and not using battery saver at 85%. But with that for medium user battery is enough. For 2 hour of screen on time I'm using between 59-70% of battery. Beside that the camera are quite good and telephoto is so practical. It is basicaly a pocket binocular. I think it is a better phone than A34/54. Comparing to A55 is abit mis leading I think because now for the price of the A55 you can have an S23 from second hand/refurbished.

Been using the s22 for almost an year now, my only and only complain is the battery life 4 h 30 m of screen on time on an average with 85% battery with all basic battery saving features on, which can do if you re not a phone addict like me.The phone does heats up on any heavy task but that rarely affects the performance on the phone so not really an issue(not for gamers).And if you re wondering if the camera is better on iphone 13, i have personally compared both the phones, the quality difference is minimal with s22 being better as it has the telephoto lens which changes the game, sharper 3x videos,photos.You may argue the color science to be better on 13 but thats it and u can always shoot raw on samsung and post edit and the amount of flexibility : pro video mode, potrait depth adj in video and dozens of modes just makes it the better option for camera specifically.

I have the Snapdragon S22 plus. It's definitely a better choice over the regular s22. Not that big but with a lot more battery. I don't have any plans of upgrading until support ends.

Not enough difference to change phone, i am waiting for a massive camera improvement, massive improvement in signal reception inside industrial buildings, improvement in battery. Anything useful

I have Snapdragon version ,if turning on Battery saver and off some feature it last until evening ,in default mode it needs to charge 2 times a day ,my SOT is around 6 hrs a day , I use only social media and shopping and camera app daily no games

I have got it for 900 romanian, which is about 200 usd with a small crack on the display which is practically invisible on a normal angle. Got it a few months ago, holds up great and i recommend it

The phone overheats constantly, and that's why I can't play anything. Performance is great. The screen is amazing, the cameras are good, and I can't complain. The phone is slippery af.

My current phone at the moment and you are absolutely on point on the battery life being quite poor and after more than 2 years owning it, it gets even worse. Love the form factor it offers though which not many manufacturers go for anymore, like the A55 feels really huge and not comfortable to use one-handed. Might just go for the next normal iphone or pro model as it retains quite a similar footprint to what is considered small phones by today's standards. Great video by the way.

I have one of these and love it, my only complaint is that it doesn't have the android 14 update while a friend of mines s21 had it months ago, I bought it from back market as unlocked and it works fine with mobile x on the Verizon network so idk why it doesn't have it... any thoughts?

First off, well done video! Now, my take on this phone. Huge disappointment in 2024 (Maybe even when it came out?). I recently had a Snapdragon S22. It was always hot. At one point the camera would not work due to how hot it was. The battery would not make it through the day with normal (my normal) use. Lots of "known issues" with the S22 - according to the S22 subreddit. After about 6 weeks I went back to my OnePlus 7t and am happy again. Want the advice of a random KZbinr? Get any other model, but avoid the S22 line.

The S22 was undoubtedly a very good phone. I have owned an S22 right from launch 'till a month ago when it utterly BROKE. Got it fixed, literally all parts changed( screen+ back, usb port, mobo, cameras and some more) and the phone is still broken. Looking to switch to an IPhone 15 Pro, tbh.

I feel it's an unfair analysis since the phone did not have sim, as in screenshots we can see - no service. Also the S22 in continuous 2 years of usage (as in my sister's case) requires an urgent battery replacement as it drains very quickly and takes very long to charge.

You’re correct that having a SIM card can impact battery performance, especially in areas with poor signal strength where the phone has to work harder to stay connected. Studies do show that this difference is most noticeable in such scenarios, but overall, the effect on battery life is relatively minor when the signal is good compared to being on WIFI. I want to clarify that in the video description, I mentioned that I only have access to an LDU version of the Samsung S22. As I explained at the end of the video, the battery performance on this unit is indeed quite poor, which is why I recommend the S22+ instead. Going forward, I will make sure to clearly explain in my videos when I'm using an LDU. (:
