I'm pretty darn satisfied with my S21 experience as I came back to Samsung last year. This S22 does look beautiful with its minor aesthetic update but it's not worth an upgrade. Especially since Sammy increased the android updates up to 4 years starting from the S21 range *That made my day lol*

The S21 (except for the unfortunate plastic back) already looked amazing. The camera bump and the bezels made that thing look beatiful, so it's impressive the S22 looks even nicer. It's build quality is very Apple-like with the camera modules and the symmetric bezels, and yay a glass back. The S22 looks amazing.

Glass backs are overrated. Thicker, heavier and more fragile. People are too concerned about having something appear or feel premium. I'd rather they spend the difference on better hardware.

@@Relaxingmusic-ps9bd S10 feels better because haptic motor was on the lower part of the phone (where your keyboard is), unlike in S21 it's on top. That doesn't have nothing to do with glass or plastic. In S22 it's on the bottom of the phone again and it's linear now so haptics should be amazing.

Coming from the S21 Ultra, the S22 is admittedly looking more appealing to me. With a smaller, more compact form factor, it's for sure going to be more comfortable to hold and use with one hand. I'm also burned out on curved displays, so the flat display is another positive for me. With the aggressive trade-in deals that Samsung is currently running, it makes the S22 more enticing for me. I'll probably hold onto it for much longer and for more generations to come.

From s20 it's not stupid if you look for camera and battery and performance exynos 990 or snapdragon 865 it's not even near the snapdragon 8gen1 or exynos 2200 and the AI too also the battery in 2020 phones last only for 4to7hours max screen on time but 2022 phones 10 hours screen on time is normal expected thing , and the cameras because of the Ai and the improvements on the new chipsets it's like 70% better

The S20U comes with 12GB so that is more important than any improvements on the S22U and I am not paying £1250 for the 12GB version of the S22U! Since OneUI 4.0 my S20U battery life has improved and seems faster and as I do not play games the GPU is not important. Def saving money and keeping the S20U and I would agree with Andre.

I like the S22 out of all three and just waiting to see how the smaller battery performs, I think it will be okay in the SD8G1 but waiting on Exynos 2200 reviews.

I got to experience the exynos 2100 s21 for 2 months and the battery drain on mobile data (I'm a student so got a lot of time outdoors), never played any games on phone, just checked social media and stuff. Also took one or two photos here and there, but s21 barely got into the 5 hour SoT mark. Maybe the snapdragon version has a bigger gap in battery, I don't know. But it's great to hear that it lasts that long for you hope you enjoy the phone man

Why the hell can't Samsung put a 1440p / 2K display back that they removed since the S20 series. Only the Ultra models have the best 2K displays now. Dang my 1440p capable Galaxy S6 and 1440p capable S10 looks sharper than the S22 and S22 Plus. I immediately noticed the difference in store when messing with the phones and confirm the feature was missing in the display settings. Samsung just when downhill after the S10 series removing features, no MST for Samsung Pay, no microSD card, lower resolution screens for base and plus model, no charger. It's really a shame Samsung. Still not buying the phone because of this. I don't care how responsive the screen is if the resolution is worst.

I simply can not understand why reviewers think alu+glass combo is "more tough" than plastic? or " more premium"? @@1PX my opinion after i watched many videorevieuws i preferred the S21+ because the S22+ is not a huge upgrade after the S21+. And it is now not expensive to buy a new S21+. The S21+ has a bigger screen,bigger battery and the body is slimmer then the bigger aluminium S22+ frame. After i bought my S21+ I never had a problem,no heating,great battery performance,and it is a real nice device. So of course everyone has their own choices,but my choice to buy the S21+ was a very good one 👍

Hi Tech Spurt! I would like to say another great comparison video from you, thank you. When will you be posting up the full review of the Samsung Galaxy S22? I'm going for the S22 in Green. It looks pretty lush, different from the usual colours of the Phantom White and Black. I also like how compact the S22 is which led me to this choice. I must admit, even though the battery power has been reduced to 3700mAh, for me it doesn't matter, it all depends how regular you use the phone (i.e. for gaming, emails, general browsing etc).

How can flagships phones do away with average batteries? My last galaxy's battery degraded pretty fast. Had to keep replacing it. It would be great if any major brand solves this issue. Will be willing to spend more for such a phone honestly! 🙂

They won't, otherwise how else they are going to keep you upgrading to new one.. once you buy a flagship then you are part of their creamy layer who will keep spending on flagships going forward than goto a lower model....and to make sure you do that battery is deaigned that way

I love my S20 & skipped the 21 because of the downgrade factors "imo!". I did pre order the S22+ wanting a little bigger phone although I don't like the idea of a flat screen with no side curves. I personally like the curve & with side screen notification lighting, it stands out when chilling around other ppls phones. I'm needing a new screen as I've thrown my current S20 against a wall (hitting a stud on the bottom right of my screen with a $5 see thru cover) like a grown man in a child's body when I got angry at a BF2042 death due to the games bugs. I hope I've grown enough since Nov 2021 to be responsible enough to control my anger & use my new S22+ in a adult'ing manner.

I switched I don’t care about the hardware improvements on Samsung the software on iOS is second to none better quality on social media apps sending full res videos and pics through messages better video quality and optimization not to mention battery life 👍🏽

As I remember, the S22 can also drop the refresh rate just to 48Hz. Just the S22 Ultra can drop it to 1Hz.

There's a battery comparison out with the s22 ultra vs s21 ultra. The s21 lasted about 8 minutes longer. It could be because of the s-pen or maybe even the more powerful processor demanding more power. However, 8 minutes is irrelevant so it's basically equal. The regular phones however, do have a smaller battery so i'm guessing they'll be like half an hour less OR identical at best. Depends on ur usage whether that's good enough or not. The s22+ is probably a decent golden middle in that it's smaller and more comfy than the ultra but has a noticeably bigger battery than the regular s22. I adore the s22 size but coming from an exynos s20, battery life got so much more important to me and it does worry me this year

@@kmorris4140 at that level, they're all excellent. But it's coming down to the operating system. The S21 has a fantastic camera. The S22 will be even better. Plus free buds Pro which are 170 quid.

S22 has way more useful features that Samsung advertises quite poorly for some reason: Edge panel, Dex, Link to Windows (really great if you use PCs), Dolby Atmos sound, Director's View, Shot Suggestions, etc. , etc. But what I like most about Samsung phones is that they use an open ecosystem - it bridges Google, Microsoft, and Samsung services for the best of all three. OneUI 4 is also really nice, neat, and elegant.

@@tanbomxd you already have one if you dont care about the double/ triple camera (s7 still does take good pics for everyday use). battery could be the only issue so you should get a new battery if there is any stock... otherwise the new ones might excite you the first day but disappoint you in practical use compared to S7

S22 is worth upgrading if you're from s20 just like the way s21 was worth upgrading if you're coming from s10 below. Upgrade for phones nowadays is like every other year as today's model and last year's model don't have any much difference already unlike before when two succeeding generations have so much differences

Still on the S7 edge and I, again, am not impressed by yet another year of Galaxy Phones. I am giving up so much. Headphone jack? Gone. Simcard tray? Welp, Samsung screwed over the customers and decided to remove it so they can make more profit. Crisp 1440p screen? Nope, just 1080p. Curved screen that I like so much? Nope, flat. And as a final kick in the groin, they have removed the charger as the ultimate f. you to the customer base and make as much profit as they can. No. Not this year. I'll check if OnePlus or any other brand has a more appealing upgrade.

Exactly, if you had loved s7 edge then you might not be considering these as upgrade... race for making the best phones are now gone.. Looks like samsung, iphone now have settled into a nice rhythm of ripping off customers with less expense from their side.. lots of youtubers now making living out of this and take care of all the promotions anyway.. gone are the days when they had to pay promotions to TVs etc. Now just send few phones to youtubers and they do the rest

Had my phone Galaxy Z Flip 3 stolen on the weekend after having it only a month, thought I had it insured but turns out I didnt. Looking at a refurbished S21 but potentially looking at S22 if it is worth it but unsure if the price of the S21 is likely to drop once the S22 is released. So I guess the question is, do I pre order the S22 or wait for release and get S21 refurbished or do I go and get the refurbished S21 now at £420ish as its unlikely it will go any lower? Like the Samsung S series unless there is another more cost effective android which is worth looking at? Cheers
