As a reptile keeper, DEFINITELY lizard eggs!! That's so exciting!! There aren't any harmful lizard species in your area (unless they're invasive, but they still won't be able to hurt you) Also: your "baby" snake was probably fully grown, that's a pretty small species, very adorable though!

I'm trying so hard to be compassionate about it because I know people's fears are irrational, but yes, exciting!!! So cute :) That being said, I'm still terrified of spiders (there are none that are dangerous to humans where I live) and people still get scared of the most harmless of dogs, so I don't judge. Also, I'm pretty sure a spider could kill me by jumpscaring me in the wrong moment, say while I'm biking in the city, or as I'm walking down the stairs...

Tip for bathrooms: cover them completely in tile. Wallpaper in bathrooms can get mouldy due to the high humidity. Also, if you're unsure of what to do with the small side room and don't want to make it storage, you can consider putting a washer and dryer there, if you don't have those planned elsewhere. You can also treat it like a walk-in storage closet where you can keep clothing you don't wear often, but definitely want to keep around, such as clothing you only wear in different seasons or to formal events. If it's big enough to feel comfortable spending time in it when you have some furniture in there, you can also try making it a hobby/crafts room of some sort for e.g. painting, sewing, sculpting, etc. (It seems a bit small from that purely based on the room size you made it in The Sims and how you describe it, but since it might be bigger in reality I thought I'd offer the suggestion anyway.) Good luck with furnishing your house! I hope it turns out exactly the way you want it.
@MrsJolene-
@MrsJolene- 2 жыл бұрын
Actually, nowadays a house should have ventilation in all "wet" rooms, to dry the air. So wallpaper should be fine. It's bad news for any room to be too humid all the time. But I too like tile more than wallpaper tbh.

@@Hannahsx dehumidifiers are a thing. If they weren't, mold would be a huge problem. Been there last summer, we usually don't get high humidity here, but last year we had 80% for the whole summer, mold grew under my couch! Didn't notice for a while, all good now. But you never know, she might fall in love with some design that only exists on wallpaper. Humidity isn't a good enough reason to ban wallpaper in a bathroom. There are also plentiful vinyl wallpapers that are great for bathrooms. They're basically plastic, they can get spayed on no problem. Just having options is nice, that's why I thought it was harsh to deny her wallpaper for something that's a non-issue.

Lilsimsie if you plan to use that "eaves room" for storage or recreation, arrange the guest bedroom in a way that you won't have to bump into furniture & walls to have a clear path into the eaves room. I love the wood blinds on ur windows. Funny ur getting the “pepto” pink joke for ur color. I think it’s beautiful. My grandma always had a bright yellow kitchen….I miss her so much…so when we redid our kitchen I went yellow :) My husband called it my lemon kitchen for the longest time lol. He made lemon jokes, banana jokes. 5yr later I went looking for paint swatches and considered dove gray 😑 I thought maybe I would try to “please the family” and I had found some really nice pics online for gray kitchens. Sigh. So I got home with a bag full of gray swatches and went to taping them on the walls and everyone had a meltdown. I cannot tell you how happy that meltdown made me lol. So we went back and got MORE yellow paint….and some gray ;) I redid it with less yellow…some gray and then made my grandmothers primary color Pyrex collection a feature so now my kitchen is a RAINBOW and I adore it!!
@AlexaFaie

My parents have a yellow kitchen and honestly its such a warm and sunny colour to have in a kitchen, makes it feel really welcoming. I don't see the point in going for just neutrals when there are so many pretty colours out there to enjoy. Like don't get me wrong, I hated the avocado green bathroom we had growing up (it was a bad shade of green), but I do think its a shame that coloured bathroom suites went the way of the dodo in favour of anything you want as long as its white. Like if you look up old collections of bathroom colours you used to be able to pick from so many different shades. So much potential for individuality. Colours just make people happy so I think more people should just embrace them and go for whatever it is they like. Conformism helps noone but corporations after all.

as a bit of a snake enthusiast it's fun to see a youtuber i like talk about them :D the small snake in the video was just a ringneck snake, and they're pretty much harmless, so no worries there (they have a really mild venom, but it's mild and one that small can't do much harm). the gecko she showed was a house gecko and from what i can find online those eggs do look like house gecko eggs :)

you could always make a little dining/kitchenett in that room. with a dining table, mini fridge, microwave and a single burner table top stove thing. maybe a love seat if there’s space. it’ll turn your guest room into an entire guest suit.

Ceiling fan with lights that aren't completely covered by shades. Makes for comfort but also brighter so when people turn on the light they can see in the room but also attention is drawn more to the light than the fan. Also 200 metal frame looks perfect for guest room. 👌

As someone terribly sensitive to colors, especially room colors, staying in a guest bedroom with every single wall painted the pepto bismol-y color would definitely make me feel queasy-red rooms have nauseated me beyond the point of return if you catch my drift. I can like...practically smell certain colors-so it's a me thing not you LMAO You're going to make it look awesome and as long as you're happy that's all that matters, congrats x1000!!

The plant that you placed in the game is called an "aglaonema." They're super tolerant and easy to maintain. Aglaonemas also come in cute colors; some have dark pink, light pink, or white splashes. They do pretty well in low light, and they don't drop leaves too often

I would take the closet doors off and do curtains instead. Without doors to worry about, you might have room for a small chair in the corner by the window near the closet. I would also make sure the nightstand has some storage/shelves for long term visitors. I'd also make sure and think about where the outlets are. If there isn't an outlet near where you plan to put the nightstand, I would absolutely have one installed. Also, be very careful with wall paper in rooms that steam! Wall paper is great for powder rooms but is notorious for peeling off bathroom walls where a shower is involved. I would also definitely use that room with the window for storage, particularly things you wouldn't want to store in an outside shed. Baby SNEK!!!! He eat bugs! He's your friend!!! When he gets bigger, he'll eat mice!!! He will help keep your house rodent free which will help keep much more nefarious animals away. He's just a baby garter snek... he's not a hot baby. *I LURVE HIM*

I have three ideas for the ”storage room”. 1. The most resonable option: Make it into a guest Office/study. I think a lot of guests would apprecierate that, especially since a lot of people have started to work remotely. 2. Less resonable: remove and open up the built in closet, put the bed in there or a desk. Use the extra room as a walk in closet. 3. most unreasonable: Break down the wall separating the rooms and make the bed room bigger, probably not optimal since you JUST painted the walls, but it’s a possibility.
