Spent seven hours training in the CA desert at well over 100 degrees. Ran out of water and was in bad shape by the time I needed to go grab my targets. Do not underestimate the heat's ability to sap you. Always bring a cooler with ice and hydration whenever you're out there and bring more than you think you need. I was dumb and will not make that mistake again.

I spent 2 years in the deserts of Afghanistan with the Norwegian army and becoming "dumb in the sun" is incredibly easy if you do not take care of yourself and your squad mates. It was worst in the open desert away from the mountains. During late autumn, early winter it was negative 10-20 celsius at night and high 30s at midday.

I work for a PAC knocking on doors in Georgia. Temp today is 95 plus 50% humidity making it feel like a muggy 105. I wasn't wearing kit, and I sat in my car's AC for a few minutes every 5-10 houses but I do sort of understand the heat thing. Its good to train in the extreme heat and extreme cold so that you can function well if you have to fight in it and it'll make fighting in more regular temps that much easier. Just be sure to be safe about it.

The humidity is what makes the heat here in MS wild. Still didn't stop me and the boys from running 3 miles on the hottest day we had so far (116° F with 99% humidity). Definitely wasn't the best idea and my buddy put it best when a neighbor asked if there was a reason we were running.."We're honestly retarded sir." Also, himalayan pink salt is absolutely my favorite way to replenish electrolytes. Clean, without any extra garbage like sports drinks have nowadays, and can be combined with honey if you need carbs.

Shot a match a couple weeks ago in the 102 TX heat. Had a great time learning how to adapt to heat and how much it fatigues you. Catching yourself slipping on fundamentals and correcting under pressure was pretty cool. Best part was over half the competitors left by the stage 4/5 and embracing the suck all the way through was a great time overall!

Try using your fist instead of the Palm of your hand when you're getting up-and-down or touching the ground. That way you don't get your weapon dirty. When you touch the ground with the Palm in your hand and then grab your weapon. You're putting dirt on your weapon. I still do it out of habit and I've been out of the Marines for 20 years ..I opened doors that way during COVID. Lol

I went shooting last weekend in the Nevada for 4-5 hours. With the 110F heat, 5000 ft of elevation, and 0% humidity you don't sweat. Your meat juices just evaporate immediately, so you don't realize how dehydrated you are until your knees buckle. Remember to hydrate.

Honestly I could see the trench training taking off for the additional reasons of 1: trench clearing ranges have been some of the most fun ranges I've ever done, and 2: the course is it's own berm which can ease some long tern concerns in less rural areas as they muffle noise and add an additional level of safety, and 3: it's an easy was to add dynamic ranges where you're rapidly changing engagement ranges from 0-300+ as you have to worry about both what is in the trenches with you and everywhere than can see the trench you're in. All this to say you can look cool and use the "v" in LPVO's without it feeling as forced as it does on a lot of other ranges with a shorter drive time. That last part goes for offset red dots as well (which I am a proponent of).

Running and gunning in 111F is no joke. Anyone would seriously struggle to perform under those conditions.

Yeah running a gun channel in Florida myself, its hard.. The heat of the Arizona sun with the humidity of a rainstorm haha worst of both worlds.. and the blasted mosquitoes! Nothing more satisfying than the blast of an M44 in 54r and having a few seconds of dead bugs falling around you.

As much as I loved this and I know people do change. I miss the goofy masked goon version. You're not any of the other pewtubers. You're our dude and we love ya. Keep being yourself, love the British and trump accents lmao

I did this very thing two weeks ago...the humidity in the Tarheel State is vicious.

It's been hot In Prescott too. You should buy a little flat range property up north for the summer time.. I got one up by Paulden.

At least you have a dry heat. I'm here in Arkansas and I have to wear scuba gear to go outside because the humidity is 110%!!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Know that heat in the kit must suck. Not as hot where I am, but it's within 10 degrees with 90% humidity and I'm dying in a short sleeved shirt! Lol.

Ahh yes. A mice and men reference. Oddly it is one of the few references that I got out of all the ones I have heard you make.
