Works great! I was able to make really tight joints the first time.

Hi William, I love the big 3.25hp Triton for in the table, but prefer the smaller 2hp Triton for handheld work. I have used both of the Triton routers in each situation and never been disappointed.

If you already have a table, Have a look at the Triton, we offer it as a package with our aluminum router plate that fits into a standard size table with a 9-1/4" x 11-3/4" opening. www.infinitytools.com/infinity-tools-router-table-insert-plate-4766

We have a Triton 3-1/4 HP router in our router table. For the Dovetail spline system, any router that will accept a 1/2" shank bit should do just fine. If you would like some more info about our router table, here is a link to it on our website. www.infinitytools.com/professional-router-table-packages-w-router

that triton looks top heavy for hand cuts

I have never found the Triton routers to be any more top heavy than another of similar power. The placement of the handles seems to keep them well balanced in hand.
