Using The X/M 32 FX Buses 13 Through 16 For In Ear Monitors

Hi Dana! Thx for your valuable input ! I learn a lot from your work. One question here: if you change the fx send busses (13,14,15,16) to a pre fader monitor bus as you did, will you be somehow able to still use the fx in the slots that you now need to set to insert in you in ear monitor outputs ? I bought a new x32 rack a couple of days ago and am very confused about this… am coming from an ui24. Kind regards from Germany Eddi

It is easy to get confused with the X/M 32 Mixers. Just so you know, they are the same mixer except for the pre amps. I even think their firmware is interchangeable. No. Once you turn them off it turns them into a regular mix bus, instead of a sens and returns mix bus. BTW, is it somehow possible to only allow acces to the level of the mix bus sends (sends on fader screen) for each user , so they can’t mess up someone else’s monitor mix in the x32 iPad app by accident? Maybe this is a good topic for a new video ;) Thanks so much again Bro

Check out the app called MX-Q. You download it to your iPhone/iPad and I think it does what you are looking for. If not, then look into Mixing Station Pro. I know they allow passwords to be set on mix busses.
