This was an awesome tip! Made working a very thick bezel so much easier to manage. Very much appreciated the improvisation with the table leg. I was able to use a piece of scrap wood as well.

I saw a couple of videos about thermolock. But much talking and not explaining how to take it off after working on the piece. Very clear video from you.. Thank you very much!!!

Thanks, Craig for sharing and as always, your very clear directions. I second Dee's appreciation and yes, having tried using my gravers this past week and then doing some flush setting, I will be using the thermo-lock going forward. Wishing you the best!

Thanks for showing how you use it. It seems no fancy stuff besides the compound itself is really needed. Placing an order now :-)

Thank you Craig, great video! Is Thermo-lock reusable?

Yes, it can be used many times over and over.

what will dissolve thermo loc. ? to get small bits that are stuck in hard to get at places ?
@craigdabler-thediycastings75112 жыл бұрын
I just soften it with hot water or a heat gun and pull it off. Not sure what dissolves it.

thank you. How do you clean up the piece after? I used shelac before and would put the piece in metanhol to clean. Thank you
@craigdabler-thediycastings75115 жыл бұрын
It just pulls off with your fingers or a small tool. Not as messy as shellac.

dose it leave any stain on the piece that your working on? Thanks
@craigdabler-thediycastings75116 жыл бұрын
Never really noticed but many setters use it and then you just do common finishing methods to finish the piece.
