yep that's the bit I need, you need wifi for the android and ethernet for the X touch. How do you select both?

X - air is the coolest mixer I have ever seen. At first when I saw it I thaught it was some garbage for PA, no fx no knobs, but now I see what it is. Great hardware and it is very afordable too.

Thanks Phil - just picked up an X-Touch to use with my XR18 and DAW (Logic X right now). You're about as excited in the video as I am - it's a killer product for what it does and it's a big game changer for our little family bluegrass group. One question I had - is network connectivity to the X-Touch the *only* connection necessary for DAW + XR18 control or do I need USB connectivity to the laptop to control the DAW? Thanks

Its really great! I’d like to have the possibility to link the screen of x air on the command that i Give by the X touch. For ex. If i want to change my eq. i press the botton on the controller and it appears even in my laptop or tablet screen.

I have the X 18 Air mixer and I use a ZOOM Travel N router and it works just fine. I didn't have much luck with the internal router. I want this to have as a console we can get to on the fly for live, but I can the advantages of it for recording too. I wish they had a version of this that had 16 channel faders at once and the master fader. I think the scribble strip feature is really nice.

I have XR18. You did not show the X-Touch controlling channels 9-16. Is there a button for that like on the x32? If not, could it be added somehow in a firmware update? If so, I will want to buy the X-Touch.

Please make it possible, to see the channel-names, when you’re in Bus (sends on faders) mode. It isn’t useful to see „Post EQ“ eight times and have to flip back every time you want to see what channel is addressed. Or is there another option to get this managed?

Is there a way to use the fader banks with your Motor series midi keyboard to control the X Air? The ability to control the channel strips and pots for vol/pan/etc would be a great addition

We've been considering and asking users about possibly creating an "extender" product for X-TOUCH which would essentially give you more faders for controlling your mix. Please stay tuned for official announcements on forums and social media regarding this!

The cool stuff never gets made, and the made stuff never gets cool. It should have been obvious that you need extenders since (good or bad) most of the other control surfaces had them... Mackie Control Universal, Mackie Control Universal Pro, Tascam FW1884, Icon Q-Con, Avid Artist... why would you trip over your own feet? "If the X-Touch doesn't sell we won't make a extender"? But I won't buy one because it doesn't have an extender. see how that works?

I think one 16 Channel would look More Professional with faders Spread out and a Bigger foot print . I have an Avid S3l X System and i am pretty sure that the modular system is the future of live sound and home studio , and Behringer is almost there They have the components it just has to be put together the right way and i would by 10 of them if they where the right price.

Is there a way to hook up multiple X-Touch to the same X-Air so that the X-Touch all act the same, i.e. moving Fader 1 on one X-Touch moves Fader 1 on the the other X-Touch and it also adjusts channel 1 volume on the X-Air?

While The MIDI capabilities of X AIR are designed for control only, they can certainly be used in a live playing situation.

Is there a way to un-/mute the FX-Channels and Tap the Delays with an "ordinary" Midi-Footpedal? I've seen a vid recently, where a guy did this.

Yes this is possible using the MIDI CC Implementation chart in the back of the product documentation. Essentially you would assign the FX CHANNEL MUTES for those that you want to un-/mute to be controlled by your MIDI Foot pedal.

I use the FCB1010. I managed to Mute or Fade... But how about tapping delay times. Is there any hidden CC which is not mentoined in the chart?

Tap delay isn't one of the MIDI CC functionalities of X AIR Mixers at this time.

Right now i have x32rack.most of the time i use tablet to control it.but today x32 SCREEN won't following the selected ch on the mixapp. i hope next firmware update abble to make x32 screen can follow the mix app as well

Hi I want to use the x touch with xr16 in a church setup. My key issue is i want it to be easy to use. My question is, when I switch on will it be ready to go, or will it need configuring every time? Do I get the same functionality if I connect directly through midi or by wifi? Thanks

Once you setup and configured your X-TOUCH/X AIR system it's done, no need to re-configure each time you use it.

Can the x touch control the x air through midi? I'm thinking of a setup where the laptop and x air are on stage but the touch is at a mixing spot.

Yes the X-TOUCH can be used to control your X AIR Mixer via MIDI, but only using the MC or HUI control protocols. This way you can control your mix using your laptop on stage while also simultaneously using an X-TOUCH in a different location (hardwired via MIDI) with your X AIR Mixer.

have you fixed your problem? i use a new iMac wit Logic Pro X and 3 Extenders for 32 channel wit the X-Touch....all works very perfect. It is possible with older computers when the USB Port ist not stable enough....

I have an X-Touch inboud. I'm going to be using it to control my XR18 in a live setting. I currently run an external router that I connect my XR18 to with ethernet. My laptop connects wirelessly. Is it possible to connect the X-Touch to the laptop using USB and control the XR18 via X Air Edit through the laptop's wireless connection?

Glad to hear you've decided to invest in the X-TOUCH Universal Controller! Just to clarify, you must connect your X-TOUCH directly to your X AIR Mixer (via ethernet or MIDI) to order to control it. That being said you should be able to connect your X-TOUCH to your external router (depending on your router capabilities) while it is connected to your X AIR and be able to control your mix with your X-TOUCH and wireless laptop connection simultaneously.

I have indeed done just this. Both with a ethernet to wireless adapter on the XTouch and wired on another occasion. Great integration with the components.

Hi Antonis, The answer to your question currently is no. The foot-switch inputs of X-TOUCH are only able to control select parameters in your DAW.

Yes but you will need to create a template for the BCF-2000 with all the midi parameters in it. maybe one already exists on the Behringer music tribe forums.

Hi, I have an identical setup with the one of the video, but I just can't figure out how to connect the X-touch in order to control both the X-air XR18 and the DAW I'm using (Logic Pro X on Mac OSX). Right now I have the XR18 connected via ethernet cable to the router; my laptop is using that router's wi-fi, and it correctly detects the XR18. When I try to connect the Xtouch to the same router using an ethernet cable, it correctly gets an IP from the router's DHCP, but the "wait..." message never goes away and I can't detect it from my laptop. Am I missing something? Thanks for your help
