as italian i want to correct some information about carriers, first wind tre is only contract, and also there are 4 major carriers which are ILIAD, Tim,vodafone and windtre, also ho. which is owned by vodafone, it is recommended getting a sim from Tim which has more affordable prices.

I’m planning to get a SIM card in Rome. We’re gonna be in Italy for 3 weeks. Seems like the cheapest way to go. Thanks for the info

Thank you. We are going to Italy in two weeks. Our tour bus has wifi and so we will probably just stick with that.
