Anyone else get irrationally hype when Donna brings out her amazing cane case?! Thanks, Donna! I haven't even watched, yet. I just know it's going to be good!

Oh how I'd love to play with that collection of tiny canes! The tiny Dittos showing up in projects made from tiny canes always make me smile because it's so unexpected. I love all cats but black cats are special.

I absolutely love this, it turned out beautifully. I especially love that magnetic clasp. They have come a long way in magnetic clasps, they used to be so cheap. Thank you so much❤

Lovely as usual Donna! Ya know, those new fangled crimps I discovered in Temu as well! Been using regular crimps and crimp covers but wasn't too sure how to use the new kind, so thank you for the demo! I was searching my old canes and found the very first cane I ever made! In fact, it was my first project ever and looking back I wonder whatever was I thinking?! Lol! So this was in the 90s and I can't remember the name of the artist but she had published a book with various projects including a rather detailed tiger head/face cane. Her method was to build the cane as half the face then slice in half and join both down the center to make the whole face, like a mirror image. Well, surprisingly enough, I did very well until it came to putting the two halves together. Didn't fully understand the properties of polymer clay at that time so I carefully (I thought) put the halves together, looked good at the ends from what I could tell, and began reducing the cane. I was pretty proud of myself, as you can imagine since I was brand new at this, and the first couple of slices looked pretty good, but then " the Horror"! The halves hadn't aligned properly all the way through! My tiger face was askew! It looked like something from a Picasso painting! Lol! I was so disappointed in myself then. After that, I started at the beginning with bullseye and lace canes! But I never had the heart to get rid of that old tiger cane! Here it is probably about 31 years or so later and I still have it, looking as workable as it's first day, still wrapped in saran tucked inside of a plastic baggie! I wonder how old your canes are and do you have any with sentimental value? ✌️🫶😊 - your Colorado neighbor in Denver

i know, matching halves can be tricky and perilous! I do have a cane or two from the old, old days. they sit there and i remember making them! i think i should just cure them...hugs, d

Donna is a pioneer of polymer clay. She is also one of the world’s best selling authors of polymer clay art. The world of polymer clay has changed tremendously over the last 20 years, as it has become very popular. There are many things that can be done now, that were not previously available. If you are going to bust her chops for using something from Temu, then shame on you. I guarantee that you cannot top her art, as she is one of a kind. Instead, I’d suggest being grateful that she shares these free tutorials on-line, above and beyond her paid classes. She certainly doesn’t have to. She is an amazing artist and I 💯 appreciate her desire to help people to up their journey in the art of polymer clay.
