I love this shit. It brings back a lot of memories from my time on the island. We gave up every single right we had. You even had to request permission to speak. I remember this inspection well. We had one person pass out of forty. I remember I had to drink my own vomit. I had a good friend be forced to low crawl through someone else's vomit. Good times. I have a question which I hope someone who has been through this can answer; not some kid on the Internet who thinks they've watched enough videos and played enough games to know... When the drill instructors (could be wrong, just going by video description) are going along the lines, to each recruit, and the recruit is shouting back, do the instructors care about how strong or weak/ strained the voice is, as long as they are shouting back? What I mean is that when I was is Air Cadets, I know it's a whole different experience, but one of our staff made up shout like this when we were doing drill, and I absolutely loved it; the feeling and the intensity of it. But they would always say that once your voice started to strain, you could go back to normal talking. I know in the Marines, there wouldn't be the option of talking, but what do they expect when your voice begins to go hoarse and hurting to yell at this volume? It's just interesting to me. I don't think I could go through this training, as in my current point of life, I don't think I'm mentally strong enough to withstand the high pressure these Men and Women do every day. But I am very interested in the life of these people.Thanks to anyone who can help. I'm sure I will have more questions while watching the rest of this and the suggested videos down the side!

I completely understand why the demand this and wonder if the recruiters give any advice on this prior to boot camp.
