3 tenor saxes & 3 alto saxes. That's different. Normally, we'd do a full row of saxes; 10 of us. I was a former 5537 & marched 4 Rose Bowl Parades. It was an awesome parade. 'Loved my 20yrs in USMC Band. Semper Fi, Marines. Looking outstanding. 👩🎷🎼🎶🙌👏🎊🎉

Sophia, former 5534 and 5537; assigned both MOS's. Marched in the West Coast Composite Band several times (years before you were born). It is disconcerting to see the band shrink to 80 pieces. The Tournament of Roses normally requires a minimum of 100 players. Marching 9 by 11, our performances were short one bandsman. Undoubtedly bandsman is an archaic, term especially when one sees a woman Staff Sergeant Drum Major. We rarely saw a Woman Marine and never in the band. Even though much has changed, ball in the air is still roll-off to the hymn - tradition. Thank you for your years service!
