USMNT vs. Trinidad & Tobago: Highlights - Jan. 31, 2021

The U.S. Men’s National Team kicked off 2021 with a dominant 7-0 win against Trinidad and Tobago as four players scored and five added assists. Forward Jesús Ferreira led the way with two goals and three assists and three USMNT players scored multiple goals in a game for first time since 1993. Ferreira, Jonathan Lewis, and Miles Robinson all scored their first international goals and six players earned their first caps.

Loved the ball movement that resulted in the first 3 goals. The players who are talented that were available to play this friendly looked to set a teammate up with a simple pass. Result...goal. Yes T and T were without there top players as well. Imo the USMNT is in good hands. Our lineup didn't have our top talent either. This win is almost about restoring the order in CONCACAF. We have a long way to go. But this is a start. In my opinion though.

Unfortunately not, soccer is only the 5th most popular sport in the US, yet even with that and no history of soccer academies and soccer culture, the US was one of only 8 nations in the world to have made at least the round of 16 in 3 of the 4 world cups from 2002 to 2014. If soccer were the most popular sport in the US from the beginning (late 1800s), the US would have won 7-8 of the 21 world cups. It is obvious that the US is by far the best sports nation in the world, as the US is the most successful sports nation in the world (in terms of Olympic, world championship and major results), and is all time (most top players, most successful in olympics, major or world championship in the sport all time) the best in baseball, basketball, track and field, swimming, lacrosse, beach volleyball, figure skating, tennis, golf, boxing, diving, shooting, rowing, snowboarding etc and is all time top 5 in ice hockey, wrestling, gymnastics, volleyball, speed skating, alpine skiing, bobsleigh, equestrian, sailing, cycling, weightlifting, archery etc
