Usopp being teleported into a remote island in a forgotten corner of the world by Augur's Warp Warp fruit, just for him to snipe Augur from across the globe is a really fitting way for him to gain the title of Sniper King. It also ties back to one of the first lies Usopp told, that he'd die alone in a deserted island, proudly declaring "I'm Usopp, the great warrior of the seas!", which may not be a physical death per se, but a spiritual one, where the person he once was dies once he embodies his new title.

Another thing to help the “yassop can change trajectory of his bullets” is that in the live-action he literally does that. He smartly deflects his own bullet off of something to kill a random pirate in the first few episodes

Van Augur can probably warp his own bullets right after he shoots them and them warp them behind ussop. Forcing ussop to awaken his future sight. And yassop could change the trajectory of his bullets by shooting them after they have been shot again with an other bullet, or even crazier would be that they have haki in them and he can release that haki to change the shot.

a potential awakening for Van Auger would be for him to be able to teleport things to himself instead of only away from himself. maybe he'd use it to get meat shields to block shots, and Usopp has to change the trajectories because of it. also I LOVE the idea of Usopp being able to shoot from across the planet, being able to hit literally any target from literally anywhere would be the mark of a true sniper king, and Usopp wouldn't have to be scared of enemies if he doesn't have to confront them head on, kind of making him a brave warrior of the sea in the process

I think that a cool scene would be usopp getting warped to syrup village, is so thrown off about the whole situation that he forgets about the battle, realizes "oh shit, van auger still needs to be taken care of" realizes there's no way for him to get back to the place in time, panics a lot, gives up, remembers his friends, steels his resolve causing his observation haki to boost, and shoots a shot from syrup village in the east blue all the way to the new world hitting and defeating van auger. The shot would be the cool scene, everything else is just in usopp fasion.

I personally am a fan of the idea that Ussop will fight auger by using pop greens to make traps. Limiting Auger’s ability to warp freely out of potential to warp into a trap. That can add extra difficulty to their fight and it plays into Usopp’s character of being a coward, as traps could be considered cowardly to use.

Another interesting point, a detail really, I'd like to mention, is that Usopp through the persona of Sogeking has been associated to the Sun ( Sun-shaped mask), almost foreshadowing the Thousand Sunny and the greater emphasis on Sun-symbolism in the process; whereas Augur's hat is crescent-shaped thus keeping in line with the association between his captain and the Moon. I don't know how obvious that actually is but Ithink this is a delightful detail and worth mentionning !

17:08, Without the awakening he needs to touch whatever he wants to teleport, but with the awakening anything can teleport you, like a tree for example, if you touch that tree you will get teleported, so he will be able to create portals on anything, those portals are not only for teleportation tho, he can also see what's on the other side, so he can shoot at the portals to make his bullets come from anywhere in Usopp's pov. This makes more sense then "teleporting much further" like you said.

One huge counter to the warp fruit we've already seen is the bouncy plants. Usopp learns about the power and switches from offense to setting up a feild where he can bounce his shots around corners unpredictably. Couple that with potential futersight and auger is down for the count

Meanwhile Usopp still thinks he is Sogeking and wins the fight and is about to take of the mask and realises it's gone and he never needed it because he is already a brave warrior of the seas and can now be called "Sniper King"

I like the idea that during the final clash with Imu, Blackbeard makes Luffy an offer he can't refuse, and they fight Imu together. Afterwards or in the middle of everything, Blackbeard betrays Luffy (of course) and tries to take throne at Mariejoa for himself. They would fight there as a crew potentially. My only real question is why they would be there. I like to think that the fourth Poneglyph is in Marie Joa, which could be tied back to Shanks maybe having the rubbings and (if the current plot ends up making this canon) the reason he can enter and see it is that he's a celestial dragon or the son of one. We could see Luffy finally teaming up with his dad and Sabo and then BB invades in the middle like he was hinted to attempt during Wano or Egghead. We don't know if he will but every other time he's tried to interfere something else came up. The only time BB was successful at being in the same place as Luffy was Impel Down and Marineford, which have been completely planned out already and maybe Luffy being involved was pure coincidence for him.

Augurs warping powers could be crazy. Warping usopp directly in front of a loaded rifle.. Warping himself behind usopp for a point blank headshot.. warping ammunition into his weapon after each shot like a reload.. Warping fully loaded weapons to himself. Usopp needs to become aware of his liars prophecy power and use it to force augurs fate. It could be crazy awesome.

Auger's df would be his demise imo. Now that he has that teleport thing, he doesn't really need to aim anymore. He can shoot in the air and just make it appear in front of his opponent. It will dull his actual sniping skill. If Usopp can make Auger not use his df then he'll win in an actual sniping duel.

I just want to mention this. In the animal kingdom, having a long nose is an advantage since animals with longer noses have the ability to smell or detect the enemy. This is the reason why dogs with longer noses are better sniffers than shorter ones. Not to mention, the first ever character oda introduced that uses advanced observation haki was Dogtooth. Keyword here is "Detect", I personally believe he will learn advanced observation haki along the way.

I think there's an unspoken issue about Awakenings. Oda put in an early hint of Haki thru Shanks which were later expanded upon starting at Skypeia, and later foreshadowed Devil Fruit Awakening thru the Jailers of Impel Down, which was sorta teased by Aokiji and Akainu transforming the environment of Punk Hazard in the fallout of their battle, and later with Doflamingo. It's Chekhov's Gun with an added rule that's more fixation or obsession. We've seen the gun, and it has been fired. But that's what it has become; a fixation and obsession. Just because we've seen different forms of Haki doesn't mean they'll always get the big focus in the details of battle; Oda has learned to write and draw scenes that implement Haki without announcing it, or Haki just isn't used. Similarly, not every Devil Fruit user from Doflamingo onward is going to have an Awakening. Doing that would oversaturate the context of the battles with the strictness of rules rather than pay due to the actual beats of the story, both micro and macro.

A thought to consider: Usopp doesnt NEED future-sight this isnt the best logic but bear with me: Usopp's lies come true, he does not need to SEE the future he DECIDES the future Usopp uses a slingshot instead of a gun, his projectiles are bigger and slower but vastly more variable. I think Usopp using the weapon that relies on even more accounting and prediction than even a rifle, and doing so WITHOUT the ability to see the future, and his unique long-distance observation haki, against the guy with the rifle and futuresight would be fitting I think The guy with the weapon that is basically hit-scan, believing in fate and looking into the future to plan his shots vs the guy who (ltierally) determines his own fate, using the slow, lumbering slingshot and his infinite variety of tricks and traps I think it would be kinda fitting for usopp to beat the future-seeing fate guy without himself looking into the future but deciding it himself

Imagine seeing Van Augur standing with Luffy in his crosshairs while he's fighting Blackbeard, his his future sight trained to see where Luffy would move. It then cuts to Usopp, with the Sogeking mask on the ground (broken during the fight), where he says that his captain (admitting that Luffy is the captain) needs the best sniper to be king of the pirates.

Hear me out: Usopp gets shot in the chest and Auger teleports him away, or maybe Auger teleports away himself. Either way, Auger is now very far away from Usopp, farther than even he can shoot. Auger lines up the shot, and then, like you said, impact frames of a shot landing, then fade back in and we see that Auger was the one shot. Swap back to Usopp, and we see him a hurt, panting, and as he falls to the ground having spent the last of his strength on that shot we see the Sogeking Mask fall out of his pocket, shattered by the shot from Auger

I've always has the idea that Usopp would get Thors hammer from Elbaf. With observation haki and the ability to direct bullets would make him deadly close and far range. Van auger couldn't get close to the GOAT

Another thing to mention is that in the Luffy vs kata fight when Luffy goes snake man he literally commands his arm to “chase him down” in order to hit katakuri, maybe ussop will learn something similar to snake man where when ussop shoots a bullet it will literally chase down auger and gain speed every turn

When a sniper shoots on a target, the ballistic approach of the shoot can give a scientific model thus giving the exact (or almost) moment and place when the bullet hits his target if you know the initial conditions and situation of the shooter. One can see it as fate, since it's deterministic

Great video . Its ideas like this that reiterate how great OP is. And how much of the story is still left. There is no way a fight of BB crew vs strawhats is anything less than a miniarc of 20 episodes in of itself tbh. Especially how the story is setting itself up for placing crazy high stakes (garp, 3 eye girl, boa etc).
