so i been on the pre hire list since 10/27/21 scoring 92 on my test waiting for more emails to come in only did the motor vehicle history check come on more emails,, Lets get this long term bread whether i like it or not im 26 year old guy wife just had a baby so i gotta start supporting my family in the long run,,

Congratulations on you’re newborn. I’m sure they’ll reach out to you soon if they’re starting to spend money on you background and motor vehicle checks. Just stick with it. It can get stressful, but the benefits are good and pay is decent. Good luck on your journey bro

I'm trying to apply for in my nearby area in rancho mirage or either Palm desert or either Palm springs how am I supposed to apply when the website keeps on freezing do I have to go to the to the main office to the post office still play with the computer cuz every time I'm on my phone or a laptop device freezing for some reason

I believe it has to be done on a computer or phone. Have you tried going to a local library or somewhere with public computers?

Hello. i came across your vids& have a question. Ive applied for multiple Mail Processing clerk positions in my state., thats what a few others said to do when applying Just to get the assessment tests taken. I received a conditional job offer for a location that is way to far& i am hoping one of these jobs opens up closer to me. After watching some KZbin vids on what to do I'm going to decline that offer. They also sent the enail to do background check. Do you know if i still proceed with the background check or should i wait for one of the other postings i applied for to open up?!? Help.. anyone i am so frustrated. All the status's are in pre -hire

I’d still do the background check just to have it on file when another location opens. I’m not 100% sure, but to save some time I would. The process does take a while for a lot of people. It’s been 3 weeks since you wrote this… have you had any luck with another offer?

Is it normal for them to send my background check before offering me a job offer? I have not received a job offer but they did send me my consumer report on October 12 and said they would get back to me in a few days and I haven’t heard anything at all.

Hey ! I was offered a job (CCA) the end of March then a few days after I received a email for driving and fingerprints background (did all that ) between April and May I received 6 job offers. The first of June I had to do the driving record again and now it’s 6/15 and still no orientation date . I’ve called HR in Ga , they are not helpful and by the end of June , I have to do the fingerprints again 😩. Any suggestions?

Good afternoon. That’s typical with the post office. They take a while to send out a job offer, even after you’ve submitted everything. I think everyone I’ve spoken too about it, had the same wait times.

Hey! How does it work when you are using your own car? Do they pay for car insurance? I just got my orientation call and email. Process took a week for me to get it. But the HR lady told me I needed my own car & insurance which isn’t a problem but not sure if I should add on my car is used for work

After my fingerprints, it took them about a month and a half to 2 months to finally contact me with my dates. I made a video going over the entire process. I was actually looking at my emails when I made it, so the timelines are more accurate. I appreciate your comment bro

Did you take the assessment test for mailing? I rented a study book for all the test questions, they ask you about address memory test.

No. They weren't requiring that test. I think there's such a shortage of workers. They didn't require a few things that they used to.

That should have came a few days to a week or so after you did your assessment. But the timeframe isnt always the same. I had a guy that got on in 3 weeks, compared to my 3 and a half months.

@@dollface6022 should be waiting for orientation email next after fingerprints and background clears. Some people start orientation before their fingerprints come back though. I’m waiting still too. Applied 10/29/21 completed all of the steps by 11/15/21 and was told to wait for orientation email.

@USPS Twan so I went for my fingerprinting in the post office and they sent them directly to the office where I applied I guess for review. They told me to wait for orientation, and told me welcome aboard. And that if I already had my job offer then I basically had the job. However I’ve heard the background takes a long time. Does that mean everything came back already? Thank you!
