Thank you for the video. What I have been doing is after four days I see where the item(s) are stopped. Then I do a USPS Tracking search & contact the buyer with a note & paste the search. I do not do the volume you do by a long shot but all of my buyers have thank me for keeping them updated & they now understand.

Never skimp on shipping. Move to FedEx or UPS.

It really is a nightmare out there. Hope everyone's packages arrive. I've had mixed answers. Some people say reach out first to a buyer if their package has not arrived yet, and others are saying let sleeping dogs lie when it comes to alerting customers ahead of time. Thanks for watching. I think if a package does not arrive on time after a few days, the buyer will make the seller aware. Some sellers check to see what the tracking is doing, others don't and never realize it's late until notified by the buyer.

I’m waiting on a package and the seller hasn’t said anything. I feel like she should have said something. I have a feeling this isn’t going to end well- very very expensive item. I’m still waiting, but I can only wait so long.

@@LifeWithKarisha This person might be apprehensive about contacting you in fear you will ask for a refund because of the USPS delays. I would absolutely reach out to them if its making you nervous. Sure they will probably give you a generic response but it could also get them to watch your item more closely for you. Both of you are working together on this transaction. You are absolutely right. I’m an eBay seller y had several issues with usps. Like delays and missing packages that I had to refund the money to the customer and usps never found the packager so I lost money . What I’m doing right now , is sending the biggest packages by Fed ex , and the small and medium by usps priority, but still have delays. Is so crazy what is happening right now with the usps.

I have a package currently "in transit". It was originally going from Maine to Massachusetts. It's been sitting in NJ since Dec 10. Customer gave me a negative(my first in 20 years) and Ebay won't remove it. They are not protecting sellers during this debacle.

Which is wrong. I got a neg too. Item not recieved... well its still in transit by tracking provided so how can I get dinged for the item NEVER arriving...ITS ON THE WAY STILL! HAHA

I’m in NJ and had a package going to RI. It went on a ride to CT, then finally sat in RI post office. I kept in touch with buyer, and he was angry at me. eBay gave me 10 extra days, which infuriated him, and he ended up leaving my only negative feedback. (The kicker is the guy was a seller as well). It finally arrived after I opened a case, now I just have to get the negative removed. I would try eBay again. (I already put my request in, but I’m sure they are backlogged as well). Hope it all works out for you! ✌️

Thank you for your information. I'm a new reseller and just had a seller contact me regarding their delivery. The package left here in Hawaii on August 16, 2021 bound for Washington State. Today is August 28 and the package has travelled across the country and back. From Hawaii to DE to PA to WA to PD and now on it's way back to WA. I feel bad for the buyer and was thinking of offering a refund. Thank you for your information about not refunding. I shipped it the next day after purchase so I did my part. I now know it's not my fault and don't feel guilty. I'm now going to respond to the seller in hopes they understand. Thank you!

Thanks for watching. So, the post office is sending it back to you? If it didn't get there the first time, there's no assurance it will get there if you send it again. But, if you do get it back, you probably should refund the buyer. But, only if you get it back. Then you can sell it to someone else.

Lol. I used to have that same yellow phone as a kid back in the seventies. I have a package I will be sending tomorrow and I will be contacting the buyer letting him know to allow up to three weeks to receive his package. This time I will be standing in line to get it scanned and to receive a receipt.

I had multiple items that were not tracking after the initial pickup, and leaving my post office. (Delayed for weeks) What I have learned is if you open a claim on USPS it gives it a “bump” so to speak. One package was just sitting in RI. Miraculously, it was delivered 2 days later. I feel that reaching out to buyers does help, just choose your words carefully. Also, for the past week I have been sending some items via UPS a and Fed Ex.

I dropped some stuff off at the post office on Tuesday of this week and it didn't get scanned on some packages until Friday. How do I get ebay to remove the eventual Orange marks I'm going to get.

I’m a seller and buyer. I stopped my sales for now, but I’m waiting on a very very very expensive item and I haven’t reached out yet, and it’s been about 5 days since the expected delivery. I’m going to give it a couple more weeks, but this is bad on all ends. Tracking stopped on the 13th.

Go on to USPS and open a claim with the tracking. I have done this on my delayed packages and it gives it a “bump”, and they were delivered right after that. Good luck with it!

Just curious...Why would you continue to use USPS for shipping items right now? Fed ex and UPS are delayed but nowhere near what USPS is.

Receive my first request for a refund because a package did not arrive. I instantly gave them a refund. My question is… Would the shipping costs and cost of goods sold now become a tax right off?

Well I guess you will just have to come up with a better business model. The post office has been consolidating their processing locations in a move to reduce operating cost and now all of this volume is hitting those centers and it is like an hour glass. And Amazon is dumping packages on them too. In our local office they bring people in on Sunday just to deliver Amazon packages.

I have 2 packages are being shipped by USPS priority mail. 1 is being held in a distribution center in Memphis for 14 days. Delivery date was April 30. I live in Memphis. They haven't distribute it to the post office. The post office is only 20 minutes away. The other package is being shipped by UPS innovation. UPS have send them the package to be delivered. Haven't been delivered in 5 days. Sellers need to use UPS or FedEx ground. Save the trouble with asking for refunds for USPS.

4/19/22- need some new information, just today news on tv says postal system is making small packages slower by a day starting in may. For me, things have slowed so much in the postal system that ive been yelling and screaming at everyone, 15 days is just unexceptable especially when its a 6 hours drive from me. I will be doing less and less shopping , period. I dont like going out to shop so this will be the end of my getting things, and you know what? I dont care anymore.

Idk, i put in my years, now retired, and it just doesnt measure up to what was expected of me, when i worked there. Now its all lax-a -daze-acle.

I have priority packages sitting in the parking lot at the Evansville hub for 20 days. I have postal workers some are subs some are not that are not scanning packages when it's a door pickup. Now, I'm going to the post office to get them scanned. I'm just plain out the money for the ones they never scanned. USPS can't track something they said they never got even if those packages arrive and I get positive feed back ebay is saying I didn't ship on time. Just because the original post man did not scan the package. I will never do local pick up again, due to ebay's rules. Just makes me sick, I've been selling on ebay for over 5 years and they think I'm jerking around with shipping because of a post man not scanning the package. Etsy is sounding better than being treated this way.

That happened to me. One has been in my local post office since December 11th. Usually my postman picks up all of my packages at my office. I had 23 on Monday. He did not pick them up. So, I went to the post office. I waited in line, had the clerk scan each one and got a receipt. There was no way I was going to leave them with the stack of other packages that were dropped off and waiting to be sorted. Now I have peace of mind because I watched the clerk scan them. I took a little while, but, I know they are in the system. Thanks for watching.

Ebay issued a full refund to my buyer because of shipping delays from my funds that were being held. I did not ok this with Ebay. This is not right.

I agree. All you can do is continue to check tracking. If the buyer gets it, ask them to send a payment to your paypal account. They may not, but, at least you asked. Thanks for watching.
