Then when you tell them what happened, they seriously claim they delivered it to you, when you were home all day, waiting for it. Those two are the worst companies ever. I don't know how they're still around. I've never had this issue with FedEx or Amazon Delivery trucks

The postmaster went to the back room to talk to the delivery person that day and then came out to tell me the delivery man remembers dropping it off at the wrong house and will get it back from that house and bring it to me later that day. That evening my neighbor came over and turns out it was accidentally delivered to him. But at the end of the day they need to make sure they are delivering to the right house

@@drewbooFPV yeah I checked with my neighbor the funny thing is I got notified exactly when my package got dropped off. I live in a town house so my neighbors house is connected to mine. When I walked out, I saw the delivery guy drop off a box in front of my neighbors house right when my item was supposed to be delivered. My item said delivered but I didn’t have it at my house or in my mailbox. So I asked my neighbor a couple hours later and he showed me the package but it had his address on it. Thinking back too the delivery guy who dropped the package off worked at FedEx but my package was through USPS. So the question I was wondering was if FedEx and USPS ship each other’s packages? It’s so wierd, plus my neighbor’s package was a shoes too which is what I ordered. I hope he’s not playing funny business with me cuz I paid a lot of money for my stuff.

This is the second time this has happened to me. On October 16, 2021 I was supposed to get a package but never got it. The tracking said “delivered in a parcel locker”. When I went to go get it the lady said there was nothing here for me so I contacted the USPS (it’s best if you email them they reply faster). Got a call from the USPS and they told me a package was delivered, now that was the first time so I couldn’t tell them the lady told me there was nothing. Sad part about this is that the lady couldn’t look at me in the eyes to explain what happened to my package, so if anyone has experienced what I went through then you know how you feel when they can’t find your package. UPDATE: The postal clerk put my package in someone else’s mail and they came to my house to give it to me.

If your neighbors have your package and YOU have to venture over there to "ask" them if they have it, all they will do is say "nope". End of story. Most of us sadly have neighbors who will likely deny ever seeing it, so this is terrible advice. If they have it, give it some time and they should or will show up to your door, if they don't, they either don't have it or they're just keeping their free gifts.

Some carrier's are horrible like the one we have now. I approached the carrier about missing mail and packages and she handed me a piece of my mail that happened to be a catalog and said, "This says, "Or current resident!" The catalog had my name and address on it. I realized at the moment she clearly takes what she wants and does what she wants to do. She leaves packages at the street, in the middle of the yard, or wherever she chooses. I have complained to the post office, and her manager only wanted to know how I got her phone number and has done nothing. The post office management simply does not care even with the Ring camera evidence.

In my case my wife and I recently moved to Orlando area so we did not know the neighbors. The mail delivery was by a cluster box. They claim they use GPS tracking but if they deliver it to a friend that lives in the development (Cluster Box) their is no way to prove your case. Recently we waited for a DVD series to arrive it would say (online tracking) out for delivery all away until 8pm and then all of a sudden it would say delivered at 1:30pm. This is a racket not an honest mistake because it has happened more than a few times where we have just moved.

Tracking numbers have become a big joke....The delivery people scan the items as delivered WAY before they actually deliver it, so if they make a mistake, there is not way to fix it. What bugs me is that shippers say that "Label Created" means the item is shipped, when in reality all they did is print a label and NOT actually bring it to the Post Office.

I put a bright neon note on my gate telling mail carriers to ring the doorbell like crazy when they drop something off because packages are being stolen, and a few hours later she shows up with an open package saying she found it in the laundry room. 🙄 Please, I already had a suspicion it was her, so as soon as I realized my package was missing I set eyes on her door and she hasn't been out of her apartment since the package was delivered. I had 340 dollars worth of electronics delivered incorrectly or not delivered at all. I’ve dealt with some pretty shady companies that take around 2 months to even consider taking action and that’s through getting a refund through your credit card company if you were lucky enough to purchase with one. I like to think my package is somewhere safe and warm because we had a recent snow storm in our area that would have damaged these parts if left outside.

Just experienced this. Tracking info said it was delivered at 1:30pm friday but it wasn't here. Waited til tuesday (just in case) to go speak to post office. They confirmed it was send to a wrong address. They promised to call me back tuesday evening. When they called they said they hadn't had any luck yet but will call again Wednesday. Hope they can get it to me. I'm curious why the receiver of my package hadn't contacted the post office in 3 business days about it. I would also advise that you check your shipping notification and make sure that your shipping address is right. One time I messed up one number and never got my package. The woman was asked to return the package, and she won't!!! She asked the mailman if it had a signature request on it! He wasn't the mailman who delivered that day so he didn't know. I know in the world of entitlement and greed that companies like Amazon have created that might seem right but when a shipping carrier makes a mistake that a seller has not control over, it's not at all fair to blame the seller. Take the Texas freeze for instance that caused a massive delay in mail, an act of God. Should a buyer who paid extra for expedited shipping be refunded due to a snow storm that paralyzed the mail system for several days? No reasonable person would say yes. And yet there are plenty of unreasonable, entitled, little children walking around in adult bodies that stomp their feet and shake their fist when they don't get their way. Throwing a temper tantrum won't change reality and if anything, turns people off from helping you.

I live in a gated community. My package was said to have been "DELIVERED" but where I don't know! When you call UPS for help they tell you to check around, file a claim, etc. I have checked. They should be investigating to really proove that their driver did in fact deliver my package correctly. This happens too many times. The claim process is crazy. The store where items were purchased from told me to file a police report. I am very ill and so upset because that package contained my grandchildren's Christmas presents! Common suggestion made by shippers is Talk to neighbors. DO NOT DO IT> Hello neighbor did you get a package with MY NAME AND ADDRESS and NOT let me know? Oh yeah ! That goes over well. Let the USPS UPS or whoever do the leg work. And now they have GPS tracking also. ( This comment several years after this was posted)

If you call the po they have better tracking and can tell exactly where your package is and if it was scanned deliver the scanner has GPS and they know exactly where it was delivered to.

I got an email saying usps delivered my package in my mailbox at 9:38am and it wasn't there. Now its the next day and still no package. I have a doorbell camera and i can see the mailbox on it and no package was delivered. They lost one of my packages about a year ago. It is very frustrating when you spend hard earned money for something and never get it when usps says it was delivered. And these days you can expect that if it gets delivered to the wrong address then no one will bring it to you. They will open it to see if it's anything good and keep it if it is and throw it away if it's not.

Quick question when I tracked my package it said it was held at the post office and then when I tracked it again the next day it said it was delivered does this mean usps re delivered it to my po box after 15 days or does this mean it got delivered to the sender after 15 days because I contacted usps and they said that packages are held for 15 days and then are returned to the sender after 15 days but I just want to know if it says delivered in the tracking after 15 days does that mean usps redivided it to my po box or does that mean it got delivered to the sender

So what do we do if a package was stolen? I had a delivered notification on friday around 3PM while I was at work by the time i got home 7:40 happy to open it up but i couldnt find it thought they hid it under my porch but nope nothing. Should i report it to amazon or wait if it arrives?? I understand that it's not the seller's fault because it was in the hands of the ups. But I also dont want to be out of $300. I dont want a refund i just want my pressure washer to clean my parents driveway. Will they send me a replacement and if they do I'm going to call in at work to recieve it in person because never have I had this problem. This coming week I will be installing cameras

I had a similar issue. I received an email from UPS saying I received the package at 12:45. Came home from school around 3, there was nothing. I filed a claim to UPS, but if I don’t get a response I will probably have to go to the UPS office and ask for help.

This just happened to me with not one but two different pieces of mail. I live in an apartment complex with 5 neighbors who are not home of course. I'm thinking the stupid mail person put the two packages in the wrong mail box. So freaking frustrating.

The tracking information says that the package was delivered however when I checked usps informed delivery, the package was never entered into the system. I think the postal carrier either stole the package or delivered it to the wrong address.

I ordered something but they sent it back to the seller instead of to me. USPS should bare some responsibility for their mistakes. Thankfully I got a full refund from the company but USPS should be paying for the package to be reshipped. Why can't USPS pay for anything? The fact that they have no responsibility to provide financial reimbursement for their mistakes or to remedy any situation caused by their mistakes is a huge oversight by this organization. Shame on the US government.

In my case my wife and I recently moved to Orlando area so we did not know the neighbors. The mail delivery was by a cluster box. They claim they use GPS tracking but if they deliver it to a friend that lives in the development (Cluster Box) their is no way to prove your case. Recently we waited for a DVD series to arrive it would say (online tracking) out for delivery all away until 8pm and then all of a sudden it would say delivered at 1:30pm. This is a racket not an honest mistake because it has happened more than a few times where we have just moved.

Ran across this video doing a search about this problem, I buy records through the mail for cheap and bulk shipped to me media mail, and they're always scanned as delivered when it actually wasn't delivered. I've even rented mailboxes because businesses have priority over residential delivery and I figured it's a sure way to get my media mail sent to my PO Box at the UPS store, and the same thing. I wind up calling the local post office. They tell me they're going to look for it, they always call me and tell me they found it and that I should pick up the package. The only thing I can come to conclusion is that they don't feel like carrying a box that weighs approximately 20 pounds. I don't want to be that guy, but the carriers are the ones responsible for delivering these boxes and they just do not want to do it. They leave these boxes on the truck because they're too heavy and they try to throw the delivery on someone else. I'm just so sick of it. I never have issues with other types of packages only with media mail containing books or heavy records.

I have an interesting dilemma my package from Walmart says it was delivered the day before it was ordered and the fedex tracking number also indicates that it came the day before it’s order. The tracking also interestingly begins May 16 which was 6 days before I made the order. So far Walmart is stringing me along and I can’t find anyone who has gotten a legit tracking at least legit enough it’s my address on the real fedex website but saying it came before I ever placed the order / paid for it. As if anyone would ship a hot tub prior to payment and of course have the Psychic ability didn’t know I was going to order one in the future
