I'm big a fan of Star Trek or just haven't bothered getting into it, but u have to say that this is quite an amazing build and does persuade me to watch the show! Thanks for uploading and I do live the way it has turned out

If you are building this set and having trouble getting the plates to attach to the top and bottom center of the saucer, there is a solution. The problem is caused by the empty areas at the center of the saucer. Although it will add more weight to an already heavy build, filling those empty areas (thickness of 2 plates on the bottom and a standard blok plus 2 plates on the top) with spare bloks solves this problem. Seems everyone who has built this has cited this issue, Mega must have seen this as well while test building it. I wonder if this was done to save weight, cost, or a combination of both...

Just got done with mine. Already thinking of buying a second set and altering the neck connector to have a pylon exiting the top of the saucer for a third Nacelle. Still studying on how to alter the secondary hull to make it into a dreadnought. we need custom nameplates and registry numbers. That would be awesome.

Much better than some of their previous larger sets. They cast much of the interior structual pieces in a mix of primary and secondary colors which made following the instructions much easier and enjoyable. While not a quick build, there a lot less of the frustrations and visual confusions found in some of those previous builds.

Very well engineered 3,098 piece Signature Set...interior structural pieces are cast in a mix of primary and secondary colors making the assembly process much easier. Build is solid and stable throughout with the exception of some open areas at the center of the saucer section that made it difficult to attach final plates...filling in these empty areas with spare bloks solved this problem. Light-up nacelles are only "play" feature in this build. This is primarily a build for display and not play...model has a permanent "fin" protruding from the bottom of the main hull that slots into the base. It is not designed to be easily removed from the base, and is extremely difficult to reinsert once removed. Minor accuracy error has both "NCC_1701" designations on underside of saucer facing the same direction, when both should be oriented with the "N" starting on the outer edge of the saucer - fortunately, this is easy to fix. All that being said, this is a BIG, beautiful, sturdy build that is a blast to put together, and the minor flaws only bring it down to a 9.75 out of 10 in my humble opinion. If you are a Mega Bloks and/or Star Trek fan and have the discretionary income, this is a must buy!
