What if the Ent-D in Yesterday's Enterprise is a Galaxy-X equipped with the Klingon cloaking devices but can fire while cloaked as well as photon/plasma torpedoes. If not Klingon cloaking device, it has the Phase Cloak developed from the Pegasus.

Absolutely right. The way battles are fought post-TOS is ridiculous. For realistic space battles, look at Andromeda.
