LvL 6 on each of the new primes has made such a huge difference for me. I didn't spend at all for over 2 years. When these primes cane out. I knew the benefit of them. Now I can afford to upgrade all my stuff. Next Soend event. Will have a tier 7 newt.

Hey Rev, great video as usual! When comparing these 4* miners one thing I would love to see is your mining rate for 3* vs 4* mats & 3* ship vs 4* ship on these resources - with a good crew. I totally get millage may vary depending on research & stuff, but just seeing the rate is more tangible than mining laser %. Cheers!

before i had the hydra, i used the amalgam for mining. and when i got the hydra (for free as well due to grinding), i didnt put it above tier 3 for a long long time since battleships and buildings, research is way more important than raising the miners level and cargo

I've got 2 of the 3 4* miners to T7+warp piece. That gets them into shallow 5* space. Hydra is the only one I am still working on. CHARISMA EFFICIENCY FOR LIFE!!!!

I finally built one last month. I was holding out because people were saying they werent worth it. So far i dont regret the choice. Good range, mines fast, all pluses so far. It does compete for matts, but you can get it to a useful tier pretty painlessly

On my server the lower 4star systems are full. I needed the B'Chor to reach the deeper systems. It's been worth to complete my dailies without an issue.

Doing the grind in Sol, or other capital systems (or high lvl systems) gives you the broken parts to refine, when you can. I got my first 4* miner through away teams store 1 bp a day with the random bp from the capitol system. And then when the SLB comes around is when I upgrade and now I use it for all my 4* mining as it holds 500K protected (with officers) and 4-6 hours each 400K node. Slowly grinding for my 2nd now and am happy as a clam I did get the first as it opens up so many systems that have open nodes, finally.

I have a Tier 4 Hydra with warp range crew that can reach shallow G5 space for mining. I use that and my Nova, and a disco'd G3 miner to get all 3 mats. I wouldn't invest too much resources into them, but they definitely have their uses and are a good stepping stone before you get the Nova(which is hella expensive). A few people in my alliance have several novas but they spend more than I do(just a new level 52 creeping towards 53).

I like my Hydra and what it eventually did for my mining game. Now it is my only miner I have (having scrapped my previous set of maxed G3 miners) and it makes it so that I only have to mine 20 out of 30 days in a month to cover all my refining needs for that month.

For us on the Briar Patch server, the ROE in deep space doesn't allow the Meridian or Amalgam for DS mining. We only can use Horizons or faction miners for the G4 ore crystal or gas. I totally agree with you it isn't critical for most players to get on a G4 miner right out the gate but I have to say that I have loved having my Vorta Vor at T3 right now.

I am level 44 and skill dont have a 4* miner. I guess I'll get there eventually but not pushed to get one for range since my Disco goes to warp 120.

I ground out the Vorta Vor in the Away Team store, at Ops 42, and I’ve upgraded it to T4, which gives me much better range for a fast and efficient miner. Use it every day.

I got the Hydra early just to figure out that g4 miners are more of a mid to higher 40s ships, its just too expensive to upgrade befor that. Now i have all g4 miners at T4 going T5 at OPS 49. The faction credits werent much of an issue. What i regret a little is, that i spend a lot of event credits to get the Hydra Skin when i had just that ship.

Another benefit of the 4* over the 3* is that they have a secondary resource over the single one for the 3* (might need the skin for that)

Good to know: you need to be halfway through the rep needed to advance to the level to buy in faction store, then you can buy bps in the away teams store. Personally I think these miners are absolutely worth it. On my server amalgams and the like have to protection in ds also. Also since bajoran faction it seems like parts have become a much, much lower bottleneck; I have yet to encounter it progressing through ops42

Level 41 to build it. The amalgam is fine and all, but I got these faction miners because they have the range AND the speed. All other miners compromise on this before G5.

I have 2 4 star miners. Hydra and vorta vor, both lvl 3 at ops lvl 41. I'm working on lvl 42. Got bps for valdore.

as a miner .... I can say that the 3* faction miners generally will perform better at a lower cost. I enjoy saving the 4* mats for the warships rather than the miners. There are plenty of 4* nodes to mine within the range of the 3* faction miners so it shouldn't be a big deal.

That's assuming that you have t8/t9 3* miners. Mine are staying at tier 5 because the crystal has been going elsewhere. I'll pick up the 4* miners as soon as I can I think so I'm not wasting further resources on the 3* ships

i think t5 max early on a maxed g3 faction miner has 29k base protected for a g4 to have equivalent need to be a t5 and that would give a wr of 115 plus the 10 can reach 120 system

i think late g4 and early g5 is the best time to build them or build it and work on it during a faction hunt lol a side project the g5 miner is around shipyard 58 on away team store bps i think the 2 chest and 3 chest is a rip off i usually do one a day

I’m having trouble seeing the value of these ships. In my server (#38) i can’t mine more than 3-4 hours on a node before getting blown up. These things cost more to repair and don’t get me significantly more gas than the Anteres over the same time. Do others see this problem or is my server an anomoly?

when you are on EU server with strict ROE, using mining ships has become high math. (didn't choose this either, is determined by the 6 strongest alliances on the server). It is prohibited to use special mining vessels on tier 4 and tier 5 resources. From warp 100, fraction tier 4 or tier 5 mining ships only allowed.... this is small part of the ROE

hey Rev I posted on stfc's video, about how my daily's are out in deep space and the game won't let me go to deep space with my augur. so after saying up over 10k g3 while all i get is g4, someone told me to go backwards and lost enough romulan faction points that I could do my dailys. Should I go backwards 800,000 romulan points so my dailys are in shallow space? I am at 145,000,000 romulan faction, how far back do i have to go in romulan to do daily's again?

There should be an event like Incursions but called insurrections. Same shielding rules but no server on server action, just a local server war for 24 hours. Expanded targeting to FFA. That way you could hit you own alliance members too.

Sorry Rev. I do not agree for once. I have 0 problems with ship parts and materials. I have a tier 5 4* miner a tier 5 valdore and tier 5 ktinga within 6 months after going in lvl 40. The sourcing is fine now. People are cruising through levels now at my alliance and me aswell as tftp

Took me months to grind out a B'Chor, but that was before I got G4 ships strong enough to hit dozens of heavy transports. Typically you will get 1-3 prints per 50 chests from capital systems. Unless the RNG gods hate you, of course.

Upgrade it just enough to reach the lv50 space in deep space, any higher and it's a waste of mats, that you can use towards getting to ops 50+, don't waste faction credits getting one, if you really want one grind one out through drops. Nova is a much better mining ship

Going backwards in a game so you can keep playing it make so much sense. What a stupid game. 200 more g3 ore to tier up the augur. hope when it tiers up it get 10 more warp so it can work in the friggin game
