Iowa was recommissioned in 1984 and decommissioned in 1990. She was stricken from the naval registry in 2006 and went to San Pedro in 2012

my dad navy man was on it in 1942 first one on it every one else came abord in 1943 he saw the shell that hit the iowa bb61 shot from a island they moved out further .
