Such a nail-biter of a game. Was so scared USA was going to lose but that last goal at the end was amazing. I was jumping for joy when they scored. Cannot wait to see this world cup!

I've never seen the US team so happy to get a tie. Congrats to all the players. Can't wait to see what 2010 turns out. I also hope to see Honduras make it past 1st round. As for the ticos, you have beaten pretty much everyone in CONCACAF. You can win against Uruguay. Just keep your heads up!

Great persistence by US, they stuck with it. Gotta think that wet turf/ball was affecting the guys, Costa Rica is a tropical climate and they are more accustomed to playing in those conditions, not making excuse, just pointing it out. But we hung in there, that was nice. Especially glad though our guys battled back for Charlie, get well, we miss you out there!

Bryan Ruiz plays in The Netherlands and only 23. He's scored so far 6 goals in the dutch league and many experts believe he has the potential to be a super star. He's only 23 and maybe next year he'll be playing in the spanish or italian league.

for those of you who said usa cant finish, i dont think its that i think that its kasey that cant finish. look at all the missed opportunities more than half of them are kasey, i just pray he does not make it to south africa. i mean his first oppurtunity? he takes a shot right away if he had just dribbled a couple of yards it would have been a for sure goal

They play a more attacking style, which can be a good thing or a bad thing depending on who you play. Here, they've got a 3-5-2, so they're hoping to come out fast, hard and get enough goals to last them until the end. The USA play a style in which they're looking to have a back four that plays well against possession holders and an offense that knows how to hold possession.. This method worked against Spain. Costa Rica tried to overload the USA and they got too tired doing so.

Nartzen- MNT is Men's National Team- sometimes you will see it as USMNT.. bet you can get that one. U.S. is getting better, but we should finish off every Concacaf team, with the exception of Mexico, with ease.... but they showed a higher pace and ability to take on players... that is what has been missing... and the more we see of that, the better the MNT chances are of going deep in WC 2010... and our defense has always been suspect

Yeah, it's been obvious for a few years now that this team is hurting for a finisher. Too many guys whose first instinct is to pass when they get the ball in the box, and too many guys who can't finish to save their lives when they do shoot. For a while it looked like Clint Mathis was going to be the man, then it was Eddie Johnson. Altidore looks like he might be the latest greatest hope...

I watched the whole game. Best Player: Altidore didn't score but he really manhandled the Costa Rican defense. He freed up others to score. Worst Player: Casey is a one game wonder. Needs Improvement: Howard who had a decent game but needs to be more aggressive instead of blaming the defense. He should take note of the Costa Rican keeper's game saving plays. Overall: US has a good player pool. Youngsters: Torres+Holden+Rodgers+Cooper+Bornstein+Bradley look good. Need Adu, maybe Castillo+JJones
