@@fieliep1040 I don’t think so… the US system of school and university sport is in my mind the most talent developing in quality and quantity that exist. @@fieliep1040 .....the olympics? Not to sound pompous or a jerk, but What other country wins more sporting events as a whole than the US? Whether the rest of the world likes US sports or not...... A lot of the best talent gets split in a lot of different ways. It's not a top sport. It's not criticized and talked about everywhere. Culture makes a big difference..... US got American football from English rugby. They wanted they're own sport instead of futbol like everyone else. American football, basketball, and baseball became an American thing as well. Cor futbol....The low scoring, diving, time wasting, and low scores made it unpopular. You can't waste time in baseball, football, and not as much in basketball. You're rewarded for staying on your feet and fighting...not who can act like they got hurt and waste time.... I like futbol, but wish that wasn't such a big part of it. It's gaining popularity though. Hopefully they'll be able to be a solid team soon. With due respect.... Saying a few countries are better at 1 sport than the US isn't a big deal either. Lol

We won against Morocco and that's great but don't start thinking this team is all that. I'm 100% sure if we played away we would've lost because without the fans we are nothing seeing that we lost almost every away game in the qualifying stage or getting lucky enough to draw. I hope the usmnt goes far but as we seen in the past we get cocky and for some reason we win one or two games against an ok or very good team and we think we own them. I hope the U.S gets very far in the world cup and prove the people who doubted the U.S in the beginning. All I'm asking is for this team not to get too comfortable with the dubs and know that we aren't invincible and even if it's a team we think we can easily beat still think about the possibilities. For example, in the past we lost 2-1 against Trinidad and Tobago and didn't make it to the 2018 world cup. One more thing pulisic seems a little too confident and that isn't a bad thing but he just needs to know that losing is a normal thing and that not everything works out the way you want them to be.

Yeah, it didn't look good at times. A better team would easily have scored 2-3 goals. They were very lucky! Luckily, this isn't the starting lineup. Cameron Carter-Vickers, Erik Palmer-Brown, Matt Miazga, Chris Richards are also options.

Trying three at the back in possession with almost no fullback cover with Zimmerman and Long out there was the issue I think. Not enough athleticism. If Robinson is healthy and replaces Long I think it looks better. When CCV came on it looked better as well. Long isn't as good as Zimmerman and he doesn't have enough athleticism to add to this formation. Hopefully we see EPB or CCV start next to Zimmerman next time out.

All of Canada's WC group opponents performed quite poorly this international break: Morocco 0 US 3 Belgium 1 Netherlands 4 Croatia 0 Austria 3 That said, I'm not sure what to make of it. While the US match was a friendly, the other 2 matches were nations league matches. In USMNT he usually is, but this was a friendly, up 2-0, so he gave it to the guy on debut to get his first goal on debut. At Chelsea there's just a lot of talent around. Jorgi is a penalty specialist, Lukaku is an out and out striker so would be high up, Reece James/Alonso have really good finishing, and then he's gotta still compete with Havertz/Mount/Ziyech etc.
