This is why we ALL love our jobs as much as we love our countries. Where in the world can you do this for a living and gather in fraternity to train and operate against our combined nation's enemies. I was an observer only as I am long retired but I consider it an honor and pleasure to have been an invited attendee helping provide these elite men the best possible technology to make the job that much safer and easier. God bless you all for ALL you do. Hooyah!

S.P.I.E.S. extraction is freaking amazing and fun as hell to take part in. Did this back in 2003. Only bad part about it, is if they encounter a situation where the aircraft has an emergency, you take the chance of having the rope cut away from the aircraft.
@TheLastNeville11 жыл бұрын
Happy to see UAE and Jordan JSOF present. Jordan's special forces are really underrated which is probably a good thing. Check out the SOFEX convention to see them in action.

You CAN get an SO contract through the USN after meeting the mental and physical.. not to mention moral requirements. You are screened.. you do not just get handed one. You earn one from your NRD's mentor program. you need to have extremely competitive scores on the Navy's PST. And a very high score on the ASVAB.. Line scores are what counts. Youll then be assessed by the men at little creek. All of the factors will be accounted for, and if you are one of the best candidates, youll get a CNTRCT.

It takes (and costs) far more to train pilots to this level than it does the to train the operators. The risk and responsibility is far higher yet obviously the credit far lower. Where is the love for the Special Operations Aviation Regiment?

I dont know about other countries, but Australian SF Ops are not allowed to reveal their identities. This is for two reasons. One is to protect the individual and the family of said individual and the other is to keep annonomity to the operative for cases where they enter into other fields like ASIO or federal police after service. I am sure americans do it for very similar reasons. The weakest link for any operative is his immediate family or closest friends.

I have not said anything to him yet! But rather, No SF op would have his picture up so proudly as he does. During or after service. That he asked you for a picture...well...that says it all. Once they ask for a picture all credability is gone. I also noticed he said he served proudly 88 to 93....at which time Sfs in america were having a real low time with many failures. If he really was in SFs, I could see why they were.

What the hell? I just got this -.- weird. The US Navy SEALs isn't based off the SAS lmao the US started the bases for the SEALs (it didnt have a name yet) after the beach raids in WW2 do to the fact that American troops were drowning after jumping out of the boats and a few other reasons.
