I am an American. A right wing American from Virginia at that. A southerner. I hate Communism with a passion. But I take a liking to the Anthem of the Soviet Union. I don't know why. But I find it catchy. Despite being that I can't understand what the orchestra is saying. I turned the subtitles in English so I can understand. Now I almost know the words by heart. I love La Marseillaise as well.

It's so beautiful, this part of history brings me to some special place in imagination. They tried something nobody dared to try. I know people died and suffered, but history is made of blood. The capitalism system has blood in it's past too. Much more than the soviets. I admire Russia for it's past, love watching documentaries about it. Hope they find piece.

I hate when people say that Gorbachev was a traitor: He fought for the USSR, by implementing glasnost, he wanted to put an end to the Cold War, he let the Soviet Republics be independent.... But yes, Gorbachev is guilty of letting Yeltsin rise in the Communist Party. I personally would love to spend an entire day with Gorbachev, just to have some conversations.

Wow 2009 this video was uploaded and I remeber this from 1971-1993 and now its 2020. The Soviet Union lasted from 1920's - 1993 so it lasted 61 years if you did not know that.
