The interviewer wow excellent .the inteview was extremely high .....the monolithic to microservices best practices need to be practice...thats might be the reason might be inteviewer was disappointed..but you too did well ..👍

Step 1 : we need to create Eureka service discovery class and add annotation @EurekaServer .step 2:first we need to start this server which is defaullty runs on 8761..if you want you can define configuration properties like port numbers..and microservices endpoints and other stuff. Step3:register all your individual Microservices need to register with this Eureka for this you need to just add @EurekaClient at the all the services which you defined and you can add the application name in application properties file..once all these services start you can see all those on Eureka dashboard which defaults run on 8761... Step4)in api gate way (if you use this as gatekeeper for all your services) you can define the services names which you used to define in tha registry...so now we are avoiding exposes of actual services end points to end users......... One more advantage of Eureka is it will reduce the usages of hard-coded endpoints in the microservices while consuming or communicating between among all microservices we can simply use the application name which you already defined in the Eureka.....
