I never had any interest in tennis until I saw Venus, then Serena play. These two women are the reason tennis has become more popular around the world, and they have inspired and motivated many young women and men from all walks of life to play and tennis with a belief that they can achieve their goals above all odds. Admittedly, Martina, Monica, Sharapova, Evert are among the greats but Serena is a phenom! I am thoroughly entertained whenever I watch her matches. It is as if you are watching a doctor perform surgery. She is one of the players who evaluates her game as she plays and adjusts accordingly to beat her opponent. When you are playing Serena, do not get too excited by thinking you have it in the bag until you hear "game, set and match' from the umpire. This woman can break you at match point and win any game! Without ANY doubt, she is the Greatest of All Time! Many are awed and intimidated by her and what she represents so they malign her any way they can. About a year after having a child, she hit the courts and made it to the finals of almost all the grand slams. She did not win, but what an achievement!

Every sport has someone special in a given decade! what Serena and her sister Venus had created… the whole family believed that as soon as they started playing, they would be successful! they have achieved a great deal! admiration and recognition still that they last no matter how many times they "don't come out" ..but keep playing as soon as your health allows! I have always been with you! how many duels together, sister versus sister .. loved these matches these Finals without any "combinations" you fought for yourself! for fans! always professionally! today we have the Franch Open 2021! I'm liking the game of McNally. She has a good slice, volleys and forehands. That kind of game usually develops gradually but very potent once it comes together. Federer and Barty as cases in point. That could be the reason her contemporaries broke through earlier, her game is just trickier to develop. She should take advantage of how the slice gives her a short ball from her opponents like what Graf once did.

Well, this was a much more exciting game than expected. The stadium was pretty well filled for a 2d round match. Serena is still the undisputed star. But McNally is already presaging the future. She has huge potential that will be fun to see grow and flourish. First of all, a solid body, very athletic, able to run pretty well, a good serve that can ace Williams, not bad for a 17-year old. She can stay in the rally against Serena, is not intimidated, can even return Williams's first serve cannonball when she can get her racket on it. Again that is the mark of powerful shoulder muscles, indispensable in the new game. And she's willing to fight it out at the net, face to face with formidable Serena. Just winning a set off the powerhouse Serena is some amazing achievement. So, all in all, Catherine McNally has a set of impressive strengths at her young age. She does not look fragile at all and is hopefully less vulnerable to the usual sidelining injuries that seem to afflict so easily prodigy teenagers. It will be a great pleasure to see her rise to higher rankings very soon. Among all those new young players, she seems one of the most promising. There's need for new blood, and McNally is most certainly part of the new generation of up and coming players who are going to form the new elite. Who knows, we may well see her play Bianca Andreescu not too far in the future. [Written when Bianca Andreescu was still basking in the glory of her stunning 2019 performance and seemed one of the new female great hopes of tennis.] Serena is no longer absolutely needed to produce excitement and draw the crowds. The youngsters will do it.

If miss Caty McNally could return time machine to replay this match against Serena, I'm sure that she would be more humble. Don't try Serena when you've advantage on her. When you seem moke her and if the crowd join to this, Serena will do all she can to overcome the struggle to win. I remember Serena's match against miss WATSON in WIMBLEDON. Serena has almost lost the game. But when the crawd were making noise for watson, Serena at the last won. So don't try serena like this.
