I love Akramji's tabla for some time now. Is it just me or is Dhere Dhere very lose here like a glorified tirikita? Swapanji and my Guruji show closed palm little ringing, sounding like bare feet dancing on marble floor. Either way awsome tabla here.

Tabla is not about going crazy. Everyone with 10-15 years Riyaz can do this. But what Zakir Ji does requires lifetime.

Technically ustads/pandits are all almost on the same level But difference imo is the way Zakir Ji approaches the tabla solo and the variations he puts in It’s like he feels the laye and connects to the lehra He won’t go into a recital of paltas like a tabla machine But rather adopts a groove and chooses each bold carefully He brings divine touch to his performances
