Ustad Amir Khan presents a composition set in Teentaal. If not its pure form, Khansaheb presents his own interpretation of "Raag Vachaspati" which originates from the Carnatic Classical Music. In its original form, it has “Teevra Madhyam” and “Komal Nishad”. The uniqueness of Khansaheb’s rendition is in the complete absence of "Dhaivat" and "Rishabh". Although he did not name this creation himself, music critics and musicologists came up with the name "Amir Khani Kauns".
This recording is a part of an undated live performance and has been made available purely to promote Indian Classical Music.
