The expression Subhanallah was coined only for this calibre of Sitar. What amazing taleem did he recieve after he had been orphaned at a very early age! All credit to his amazing mother Bashira Begum, and to his elder brother Vilayat khan sahib who taught him. These two young brothers had also learned with their brother in law Ustad Mohammad khan [father of Raees Khan]. A million thanks for this upload. Imrat khan lived under the shadow of Vilayat khan sahib, but VK sahib himself never played such complete Des ever. Subhanallah! And the benazir tabla nawaz Ustad Latif Ahmed Khan who died so early... His art now lives in his sons Akbar Latif and Babar Latif khan. Babar especially inherits both his father's looks and tabla. Thanks again for this wonderful treat.

Such a pity that such esteemed tabla stalwarts as Ust Latif Ahmed Khan were poorly captured on camera. The shitty attitude of giving focus to sitarist only, except fleetingly to tabla genius.
