The gat is superb and treatment of the raga is perfect also in this recital Vilayat Khan has played many rhythmic patterns really one of the best kafi kanada in sitar can anyone please mention the year of playing

WOW, I was there in this concert, Thanks for post. I have a lot of Khan Sahab's live recordings which are now on KZbin, but not this one. Does anyone have that great Rageshree live performance in DEC,1970 or 71, in which Khan Sahab performed at the Sawai Gandharva Fest in PUNE. I understand that it was his finest, to be remembered, It was in the presence of a lot of stalwarts of Hindustani Classical Music then !

Rare recording Was it a live concert in Mumbai held in Birla mathoshri sabhagrah 1984 or around that time? I attended the same. He was not in a good mood. Kumar Bose accompanying partly let him down. But no doubt he IS THE GOD OF SITAR

If VLK get bored there is no clarity no tune and will jump on one new raag without notice, like here he jumped on hameer raag .
