I never thought a new Sarangi player would come up and become my absolute favorite sarangi player to listen too of all time. For decades I regularly listened to the old masters like Ram Narayan, Sultan Khan, Ramesh Mishra (my guru/teacher for years R.I.P) and figured I’ve heard the best of human capability on the Sarangi. Figured I would be listening to those old masters in awe for decades more. Than I discovered Sabir Khan here on KZbin and everything I hear him play gets better and better. I really love his style, his energy, the tone he gets out of his instrument. For me I have to say Sabir Khan is the greatest Sarangi player I ever heard and my absolute favorite Indian Classical musician of any instrument ever. He is always my first choice now when getting lost in a Raga. So grateful for such a talented new musician coming up keeping the music fresh and as interesting and creative as ever.

Wah ! Ustad Sabir Khan Saheb Ji , Bahut khub , Aapne 2018 ki yaad dila diya hey , Kya surili saaj bajaya tha aapne . To be remembered this classic accompaniment life long . Baah Ustad baah ! Tabla bolo ke saath Sayari kiya tha jaise . Pleasing tuned daayne ke bol , Jaise sabko aasani se sayari ki labs samajh aa jaati he , purà lyrical bol aur dhun . Sabbas hujurewala .

Zzakir-nhai seemed to have trouble keeping the white7 tabla in tune.
