There are some who seem to thinks that my video of Ujam Usynth is a sponsored video. While you are free to have you have your opinion, I wanted to make clear this is not the case at all. None of my videos are sponsored. They might be in the future, but if so, I will absolutely tell you that. And not only do I follow the rules of youtube, I also have nothing to gain by lying to you. If you knew how I am as a person, you simply would never expect me to do something like that. My channel is not a way to get cash. It is only built on my passion, and sharing my findings with you. If you know anything about running a KZbin channel, it clearly isn't a way to earn a living. Some of you might mistake my enthusiasm and production quality for "a sponsored video". But the fact is that I put a lot of time and effort into my videos because I truly enjoy it, and I also want it to be for your benefit, which is one of the main reasons I do this. I only post videos about instruments that I truly think are worth your time, and I have no intention of telling you I like something if I don't. If you have seen any of my other reviews you know that is true, and I always have a conclusion at the later part of the video where I go deeper about my opinions. I actually really like Usynth even if you might not, and I tell you clearly why in the video, but also what I don't think is great with it. If it happens that this was not one of my better or popular videos, so be it. I'll take note. But at least I want to make it clear it isn't because you believe I am "trying to hide that the video is sponsored." It isn't. No KZbinr worth its salt hides this fact, and I believe won't be very successful in the long run. It is risky, ingenuous, and not worthy of your time. But also ask yourself what kind of worldview you have if you believe someone like me would straight up lie to you and try to take advantage of you. I wish you all the best in any case, and I do hope that you find ways to be more creative. And only watch my videos if you think it benefits you. Take care!

As for the video not being popular. I hadn't even heard of usynth until yesterday. And, as I write this, in my personal experience, the algorithm hasn't been kind to you. I found a lot of worse videos before yours. Appreciate it. Keep up the good work.

The GUI's on these synths are beautiful, the sounds and effects are lush & inspiring....but $79 a piece for 90 or so presets, is a no-go, for me. My Cherry Audio Sines synth, is equally lush & inspiring...along with superb effects as well, and has 700 presets for just $39! My Sines VST alone, has more presets than the entire Usynth bundle!

@@SecondTierSound That's precisely what I intend to do...wait for a sale(I'm guessing that there will be a Black Friday sale next month.) I suspect that Usynth will sell well, to those who want to keep it simple, whereas those who want more control over their parameters, will not pay extra for the convenience of this synth. Also...with the vast amounts of synths out there(many of them low cost)....UJAM will be forced to make their pricing more competitive...eventually.

There is none as far as i know. You get a lot "baked in" in each sound, so some sounds have it, and some don't. Then each sound has unique modifiers. This is not really a synth in an fm way, but rather a bunch of synth sounds that you can modulate quite a bit with some really creative effects. Not for die-hards, but for quick results that sound pretty decent.

Well, I just got the Usynth bundle and was initially not excited about it - but after 15 minuted of fooling with it, I realize I can easily find sounds I'm looking for - the parameters I want to tweak are intuitively there, and I've found sounds I've been looking for (in Omnisphere, Arturuia bundle, Syrum, Papen, etc. which are likely somewhere to be found - I've spent hours looking) right away - and they sound very high quality - i.e. lots of very nice leads in Deluxe - arpeggios are useful - not abstract (but interesting) etc. I'll be using it a lot.

The Ujam beatmaker stuff is really cool - I just can't do anything on Maschine fast enough to have any kind of reasonably fast work flow - and the beats are just as useful. Maybe more modern in some cases.

Yes, and no. Not really specifically. It varies depending on the patch, but most of the controls (with different names) function similarly.

im all for inovative new synths and libraries,however,to me this is just another rompler like refx nexus but a lot less tweakable,the knobs here are just named differently,in the synth module i heard resonance and cuttoff,finisher is an all-round disortion module,all this you can find in nexus and more,also expandable with other expansions like edm,pop,synthwave,etc,i would go more for ujam's striiiing,percusion and drum instruments,if you have nexus and/or avenger,then usynth is obsolete,nice video tough Sam

Thank you. And thank you for your input. Not entirely true what you say though. The finisher is a multi effect, and distortion is one out of many many effects. Usynth is simplified for sure, which I think is good, but ujam has no other instruments that can do what it does. Each sound can be manipulated and customized quite a bit before effects, arpeggios, delays etc. The finisher and arppegiator is more advanced and feature rich then the examples you give. Probably not a synth for diehards, but it has one of the better sounds ujam had produced to date. Cheers!
