Southern Utah is most incredible at night If you ever cruised through Zion National park on a full moon and clear night it gives the entire canyon a incredible glow unlike any thing you have ever seen. I did it on a Motorcycle was awesome.

I have to agree...your video's are amazing. I first saw your NY video and absolutely loved it, and this video is again very beautiful and well put together. You must spend a lot of hours doing this... I'd love you to come to Sydney one day and make a video like this of my home city!

@justinspirational, before you make your decision, check out the Panasonic DMC-GH3. It doesn't have a full frame sensor as do the three you listed - it has a 2x crop factor. It's probably the best video camera you can get for two grand or less, and it's a very good still camera also. I'm hoping to get mine in a few days. I've been very pleased with the DMC-GH2 and the GH3 looks to be a huge improvement over it, especially for video.

beautiful- great job! trying to decide between sony a99, canon 5d mark iii and nikon d800- first DSLR- mainly for movies- with some photography on the side- any recommendations?

Great video ! I've been to most of those places, it was great to see them from a new perspective. What is the name of the song? Tried to locate in iTunes but no luck. Thank you and keep up the great work !

A masterpiece! Watched the video at least 6 times. What's the track called? I only know it's by Stephen Anderson. Thanks for the video again!

thank you for your reply- apart from megapixels- does the a99 have a similar image quality to the d800 (are they not the same sensor)? what about low light- are they the same (some people say there may be some loss of light with the a99 due to its EVF)- also wondered if the bitrate for video on the a99 can be increased- any hacks- (other than raw to Hard drive)- 28 Mbps seems pretty low compared to the others (the 5dmk3 is over 90Mbs and new the mircro 4/3 panasonic GH3 will be 75 Mbps)...?

Totally breathtaking! Unbelieveable tour! Amazed at how smooth your shots are when walking through the narrow tunnels? Did you have a vibration rig for the camera? Superb!

thanks for your swift reply-I understand the mark iii is the best at low light - is the a99 similar to the d800 in low light?

you read my mind- I['ve been already checking out the GH3 - almost the same as the a99 in a cropped sensor- plus reviews are saying the gh3 better than all the full frame cams for video- so thank you- seriously thinking of going for this (hope they iron out the current moire issues with the GH3)- with 4/3 lenses - can get the black magic cinema camera in the future too- how you find the gh2 footage compared to your a99? (from what I've seen- the gh2 seems to look closer to film than the a99)

If you are focusing more on video the A99's focusing is simply superior to the other cameras and has much much better features for video, when it come to photography they are pretty much the same. In the Sony you have built in image stabilization in the camera which is amazing, you can shoot 1080p at 60fps vs the other can do only 30, so that is really good for time lapses or slow motion. You have zone metering etc. Best look up some review of all of them right on youtube.Good luck either way
