Hi!! Yup a great trip. Sad that these well known places have been all but abandoned because of the freeway.

@@ToyManTelevision yes most of them were childhood memories. My wife hated driving on I 10 between San Antonio and Houston, and loaded driving on the interstates in Houston. We used US 90 most of the way. No trucks drag racing each other. A road less traveled.

Great timing as staying at caboose village in July. Last time in USA we stayed in a caboose at Williams, but didn’t know of this place. Luckily Simon the Big Train Guy mentioned it to me as we are both doing a similar tour at the same time, but in opposite directions.

It's really amazing just how much of the western united states 89 does cross. Thanks for your work, or screwing around as you call it 😊I'm still in love with the ideas of the caboose

Since UT20 was built, I never get up the rest of US89. It is so much more enticing to get over to I15 and the 80MPH speeds. Thanks for showing the road less travelled. In Irving Stone’s book Men To Match My Mountains he writes of the pioneer history of this region which should be remembered. There was a great German Bacherei in Orderville but it didn’t survive the Corvid disaster. We loved stopping there for authentic German Brotchen und kaffee

Have to agree! Hwy 89 and 89a are the most scenic highways in the country. 89 used to be called the Mexico-Canada Highway.

Great video. Although only one correction: that UP caboose is a Bay Window Caboose. (Common to Southern Pacific back before 1985 or so) In comparison, the Rio Grande caboose is a "Wide Vision" as the cupola extends out over the edges and has wider windows than the standard rear cupola caboose had.

We came up and were supposed to get there for the swap Meet but we drastically under-estimated the time to get there and missed the whole thing. Was there anything going on , on Saturday?

@@ToyManTelevision 2019 C7 Corvette, wanted to get it before they brought out that hideous mid engined eyesore. It's a sweet car to drive. I use cruise mode and it's nicer than a sedan. Did a custom order, arrest me red (okay it's torch red) with a light gray interior. Beautiful car. So's your 'Stang.

I live right off of 89 in Chino Valley! It's not a very scenic part of 89. It's between Prescott and Ash Fork. Until you get past Pauldin it's kinda bland. In fact when my wife and I were looking for a place to live we checked out Prescott and Prescott Valley. We came home up 89 to Ash Fork and thought Chino Valley was boring! But, here we are!
