A detailed history of Utah's Heber Valley Historic Railroad from 1899-2004. You'll see the last operation of the Heber Creeper in 1990, and the first run of the new Heber Valley Railroad in 1993. There is plenty of steam action with former Union Pacific 2-8-0 618 and Great Western 2-8-0 75, as well as vintage UP and U.S. Army diesels.

Winter Scenery in the Heber Valley is absolutely gorgeous. Can't wait until Union Pacific 618 or another steamer to run on these rails again.

Can't wait to see 618 return later in 2021 after a decade long hiatus. Spending 2010-2014 on display before work started to bring her back and convert her to oil.

The open air cars IIRC are no longer allowed for passenger trains. IIRC one of them was scrapped. 501 i believe

All I know is that yes, it did. There's a photo of it with a 6 chime, Nathan or SP, not known. and a Hancock i think. Those are the only ones I know during the Heber Creeper Years

Both steams still in shop on restorations 20 years and going. The guy running now is garbage. Why no show the 2000 passenger car double header?
