Utah woman dies in Mexican luxury resort, possible CO poisoning

Abby Lutz, 28, of Salt Lake City died while on vacation at a luxury Mexican resort along with her boyfriend. This unexpected death was allegedly due to improper venting of the resort and was likely a result of carbon monoxide poisoning.

Yeah, for someone to die of carbon monoxide poisoning in the shower is extremely suspect. You would absolutely notice before just keeling over. And what device is just spewing monoxide everywhere? I’m going to speculate here (based on nothing other than first appearances and personal experience in Mexico) but my guess is they bought something from someone to party a little, both hit a bump, then both expired at almost exactly the same time. I’m sure it will turn out to be fentanyl. As for the paramedics, it’s probably just hysteria from being told that the cause of death was gas related. Again, all speculation.

Carbon Monoxide poisoning usually occurs when some sort of generator is nearby and you are breathing in deadly fumes. I just don't see how carbon monoxide can occur inside of a luxury resort, unless the ventilation system was pointed to some sort of generator.

It doesn't have to be from a generator. It can be caused by poor ventilation with propane or natural gas. Every winter whole family die from this sort of thing.
