The land of Utah was part of Mexico before it was part of the United States. (Was still Mexico when Brigham Young and pioneers got here)

Which one? Mexico has like fifteen Independence days from all the revolutions they had. In fact, that's why Texas seceded. They were still loyal to the previous constitution. So, in light of the collapse of that government they opted to secede and found their own government

@@superipodmanvik first Mexican war of independence -1810-1821 (Mexican independence achieved) Spanish wars to reconquer -1822-1824 Yaqui rebellion - 1821-1929 Casa mata revolution Rebellion of Oaxaca Rebellion of Guadalajara Rebellion of Puebla Revolt of Queratero (all about 1823 establishes a provisional government) Conservative coup-1829-1831 (this one deposed the government and replaced it with the opposition and was the impetus behind the Texas revolution) Texas revolution 1835- Texas secedes from Mexico Revolution of Ayutla-1854 Santa Anna finally defeated and overthrown A few other ones in the middle there, and then finally. The one just called "The Mexican Revolution" -1910-1920 that is the one celebrated.

@@patrickjones8255 we do not consider any other but September 16th the Independence day (from Spain). the most of battles or revolts you mention are part of minor armed conflicts, so to speak, several of those aren't even studied in our schools anymore, even 5 de Mayo is sort of a normal day.
