Whats sad is that I really resonated with this song in highschool because I was also begging for what I that was death, but its some how comforting now to adult me. I would sob over this song because it was beautiful and understood me as a person. I thought this would trigger bad feelings for me but its just a core emotion i treasure now. It made me realize others felt pain like I did and made something beautiful with it. This song is tattooed onto my heart so thankyou for making music. I hope this was comforting to you to make it. ❤

( or is paralysed ) and probably waits for his death. not sure, the other theory would be also about a person who lays in coma, but before he fell in that coma, he fell in love with a person who seemed to promised him to meet again. I think the meaning of the song is about coping with death. The 'you' the singer is referring to in the song is not a good friend he met in the past but in fact death itself. The singer is suffering from an illness and knows he will die, but he is willing to accept the fact and believes he will die a peaceful death. "The cold rain mixed with salt" refers to the moment when the singer realized he will die, calling it a somber and almost bitter moment. The line "you came for him, for her, now it's my turn" refers to the fact that death is inevitable and everyone dies at some point in their life. ...But this is just my interpretation. It may not be correct :P
