Real talk though, that ending broke my heart. I really hope the next part leaves things on a happier note. But I guess it'll be a while until they finish the next game. Hopefully it gets an anime adaptation too. I hate to leave things up in the air like this.

@@Jack-rr9nh After Futari no Hakuoro released, the plan for the anime was announced, but the VA for Kuon went into treatment for an undisclosed ailment. That was years ago. She resumed voice acting but production of the anime never went through. And unfortunately, as you pointed out, it's too late now.

@@Jack-rr9nh I see your point about it spoiling the game, but at the same time, I see it as a window into the game and an incentive to experience it as well. I watched the original anime before playing the game and both are entirely different experiences, especially since the anime doesn't carry everything over from the game and even handles certain things differently. Unfortunately, I lack the ability to play the second or third games, because they are PS exclusives, and with the state of the third anime, I've had to completely miss out on the story.

@@GameMasterKyro Hmm.. are you talking the zan ones , yeah those games are ps exclusive but mask of truth and mask of deception are both out on PC on steam. If you haven't played them then you definitely should and you probably know that the game has ton more content than the anime equivalent though I would say the story has been spoilt. If you want I can share a link where you can pirate all three games without without any risk of virus.

More or less. It's meant to convey uncertainty. Think of it as adding a question mark to the end of a sentence. Kuon just uses it as a sort of verbal tic so sometimes when she says it it's not always contextually appropriate to be doing so.

Never liked this quirk. By using not a made up sound like uguu or nipah but something with a definitive meaning her dialog changes and at times is pretty silly when you think about it.
