I know it's ridiculous and stupid but when I watched this video it took me 30 minutes to finish cause I kept breaking down in tears from like anger and frustration, not even for myself but just because this audio is just reality for hundreds of thousands of women across the world. (And I wanna note that although the audio is meant for female listeners and this comment is mostly about sexism\misogyny, the mistreatment in the audio is NOT exclusionary, and men/enbys should read this too, just cause it's important to be aware of) Being under appreciated and under valued and degraded and trying to live up to an impossible standard but being basically gaslit into thinking your being silly for trying so hard for 'no reason'. Like i genuinely dissected this whole audio because of how upsetting it is lmaoo. I just wanna go through it in case there's someone out there who didn't catch just how awful the boyfriend in this is, but also mostly just to rant about it *A)* At the very beginning he's literally just degrading his partner, saying she's a bad cook and being angry at her for being late even though based on what we know she's likely at work, at the cooking classes, or buying the ingredients needed to cook -for the boys.- I don't know how many people picked up on it but after everything, none of the food is even for her. She's doing this for everyone else *B)* He's completely hypocritical. I feel like it wasn't really emphasized enough but hopefully enough that everyone caught the fact that when he said in front of his friends "This is really good pizza. Definitely worth the price of those cooking lessons" Btw he just straight up doesn't thank her, he's thanking the cooking lessons NOT her, but the main point is that's absolutely humiliating her in front of them. But then two seconds later when the listener says "why don't you do it yourself next time" basically saying something along the lines of "This wouldn't happened if you had helped or done literally anything useful instead of sitting there with your boys while I try to do everything" which is ABSOLUTELY TRUE. He takes her to a separate room and literally replies with "What, I have to cook just because you can't do it properly" As if it's such a crime to even suggest he does anything for himself. And also, as a side note, the fire completely happened because he distracted her with the rude comment. *C)* The listener is not taking the cooking classes because they "can't compete with Jennifer" they're taking them because they can't compete with HIS STANDARDS. And it kinda annoys me that the script doesn't make that point clear enough, because it's like even in a fictional scenario two women are just being pitted against each other while completely overlooking the root of the issue, which is him. He says "oh you shouldn't compare yourself with her" but he LITERALLY does that the second she leaves the room. *D)* His apology is NOT an apology. An apology implies that you acknowledge that your actions were harmful and that you will change for the better. He says he's sorry for "not noticing you were burnt out" but never for WHY they were burnt out. Again, it does leave a sour taste in my mouth with the way the audio is really pushing the reasoning for the listener overworking themselves and trying to go above and beyond is "oh my friend does it and I wanna be perfect like her!" and not "my boyfriend will literally tear me down for anything I do wrong, and he doesn't praise or thank me for when I carry the weight of the world on my shoulders" and it never explicitly states that it's a PROBLEM that he does that. *Finally, E)* He blatantly does not respect her as a human being. It's genuinely hurtful and dehumanizing the way she's expected to work all day, take cooking lessons because she's 'such an awful cook' and oh what a crime that is, and then she comes home (which isn't even peaceful, he literally rushes her to come home and is mad that she's late) and has to cook to make sure her boyfriend and all his friends are fed and happy and they don't even thank her, in fact she literally just gets humiliated further the whole night. I don't like how dehumanizing this whole audio is for the listener. In the audio it mentions that her friends are all the wives of his friends. That her best friends' best quality is being the perfect host\wife. It NEVER mentions her or any of the other women's hobbies or interests. If anything it just promotes the idea that because she's so spread thin that she doesn't have time for her passions. I hate that, that she can't do anything that doesn't literally revolve around taking care of her boyfriend. And it's literally like, all of this for a man who just does not care about her. The way when she brings up wanting to like Jennifer he responds "well if I wanted her I would've just rizzed her up in the first place instead of choosing you" as if his partner is just something he's _settling_ for, and he can't even name good qualities she has! He literally has to struggle to think about anything he likes about the person he's supposed to love unconditionally (even though the love seems pretty conditional) It's like genuinely just upsetting, like normally with audios when something messed up is said or something happens it's like drama or "ooh what are they gonna do now??" but that just made me _genuinely_ upset and straight up sad. Cause this whole situation is so sad and unfortunately pretty realistic. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Genuine question: is there a part 2 to this audio? Because if not the way it left off is genuinely just devastating-- like genuinely depressing. Like there is no resolution, no closure. He doesn't truly understand the cause of the issue, and he keeps going with his truly awful behavior. There's no apology, nor alternatively there's no karma or ramifications of his awfulness. He just gets to get away with it. I want the listener to snap, lay it all out and force it to sink in that the reality is he's been treating his partner like his mother. And either he actually apologizes and puts in an effort to truly change (and please for the love of god not just the bare minimum, like _genuinely_ makes a real change in both his mindset and his actions) or at the very least he gets his comeuppance and the listener leaves him on his own with no one to take care of him or clean up his mess. Okay last point, i promise, but as a note to UTC, i think it would be really cool if you started doing some audios that aren't about arguments or about the boyfriend being a shitty person, I know they perform pretty well and I don't think I've seen you ever do any audios that are different, but I'm just saying this cause a lot of these audios-- even if they don't intend to-- kinda romanticize toxic relationships, or at the very least it seems like writing a situation about someone hurting someone else and then properly apologizing and actually putting in effort to _earn_ the listeners forgiveness is something that's hard to do well. The reason why many people (at least in my experience) want to listen to audios like that is to fulfill a fantasy of being hurt but then the one who hurt you REALIZES they hurt you and apologizes, and makes it right. Like often the apology is so bare minimum and they're met with full forgiveness which just isn't realistic and doesn't feel earned. And it's kinda rare to find a script that understands that and delivers on that. Of course there are many who come for the drama of it, but then there's audios like this that aren't dramatic, they're just genuinely hurtful and sad lol. Don't get me wrong, do whatever makes you happy! But like, I think it would be cool to see you sort of expand the range of the themes you cover in your audios! While I won't go point by point I can work a little backwards because what I say at the end changes the entire audio and I have been waiting for someone else to point it out first. I have retention charts that show a drop off in audience as soon as a resolution starts. This is to say that once people start to hear the apology, my audience, will look for a new video to click. This is why some come out with out a clear resolution. It keeps people listening to the end and improves watch time. The same can be said for comfort videos. If you could look up my channel and search backwards based on lowest views, you'll find all the comfort content I've done. I am thinking of making a play list, but I also understand that I don't exist in a vacuum. People will go to other channels that specialize in that kind of stuff and I shouldn't be chasing their audience. This is the part that may or may not break the realism, but its not like I'm pulling a J.K. Rowling and making up stuff about wizards. In your replies it'd be great if you didn't directly talk about this point with out referring to it as the pineapple. Upside down pineapples are a signal for swingers. This is why Jennifer is so popular. Her cooking isn't so great. She does a lot of party hosting on her back. At the end the speaker says that the listener wouldn't even consider going to one of those parties because they are burned out already. Is he a bad guy? 100% he is. He likes pickle ball after all. You know, as a teenager who just so happens to stumble upon this channel. This kind of conversation, the script, is pretty similar to any normal conversation in my country between a husband and his wife. Even though I could pick up the gaslighting and manipulation, looking at this comment, after the video is what makes me sad and probably the reason why I much rather try to move from this country and resolve my mentality problems in one in which I'm not going to be taking care of a job and a guy and a kid to the point that the joke I have two is hilarious
