Been using this mouse for a few years. The SAME EXACT one. Im surprised at how durable this thing has been. Almost constant Mythic Raiding in WoW, high APM LoL gameplay, and tons of Valorant and Overwatch play. Nothing has worn down yet. Every single buttone works, is programmable, and amazing. Only thing to wear down in almost 4 years, was the cover for the weights. It jostled loose a few months ago (about 3 years into the mouse's life), and I threw some electrical tape over it and havent missed a beat. Mouse is awesome.

just curious, but how is yours holding up? I've had mine for 6 years now (so about the same time, given the time since your comment, and it recently started double clicking alot. I guess the switch has worn out, but i'm curious if others have seen this. at first i thought it was a weird driver issue since it started about the same time as updating to windows 11, but i've since tested it on a windows 10 laptop and seen it there too. I might just end up buying a new one, since i cant seem to find another mouse that measures up in terms of features.

I've had a problem with the software not changing the color on the mouse wheel, like the 5 presets are the only thing that change it to the preset color, but as far as actually changing it to the color I personally want it won't let me.

Largely depends on the game. If you're only gaming, a recent-gen i5 will handle most things fine. Some games can take advantage of the i7's hyper-threading, though.

If I'm understanding correctly, you can manually program a macro to be played back (for example, actually doing that rotation on your keyboard and binding that recording to a mouse button).

i originally had the original razer naga. after 5 years it crapped out on me. was going to buy the newest model but the newer model is shit. found this venus on amazon for 35 bucks. ive had it a year and is still like vrand new. much better than basic version of the naga.

The only issue I've had with this mouse is every few hours it will disconnect itself and reconnect. The USB unplug sound will play as it's happening. Would be a deal breaker if I used this mouse for gaming. I only use it at work for CAD so it's not a big deal.

That's interesting, I haven't encountered that issue. Have you tried switching USB ports or uninstalling and reinstalling the driver through your device manager?

Have you tried a different USB port? You can also try uninstalling the mouse drivers through the Device Manager and plugging the mouse back in to force it to reinstall.

About the right-handed users... is there actually anyone who uses their mouse with their left hand? I am left handed and I use every mouse with the right one. I recently read that forcing left-handed people to use their right hand would cause someinefficient transmission inside the brain which takes more energy to focus on simple tasks then needed. Does that explain my bad aim?^^

I've seen some setups where people keep their mouse on the left side and I know a left-handed person who does the same, though I haven't read into any studies regarding left-handed people using their rights hand for controlling mice. You could always try swapping for a while and see how that goes!

I tried, but It's like trying to use the mouse with the left hand for right-handed people. Guess it's too late for me but I am curious if someone else might have some expertise on the topic. On the other hand (see what I did there?) I am able to use any PC anywhere without having to adjust its mouse position or even facing a mouse that is exclusively made for right hands.

Speaking of keyboards, I may have a nice entry-level gaming keyboard for you. I've been using it for five to six years now and it still works just fine. It's from Medion, has a backlight in three different colours which is steplessly adjustable via a physical dial, is sturdy af and cost me only 10 Euros back in the day (about 11.4 USD). The name of it (I am NOT making this up) is Erazer (well the product line is called like that; the kayboard simply has the name "Erazer USB Keyboard").

Thanks for the video. I almost purchased this. I just don't get why the manufacturers don't make the mouse smooth anymore. I mean we aren't climbing a mountain. I am on the mouse 15-18 hours a day and don't need the skin ripped off my fingers. It's the stupidest thing ever. Thank's for saving me from wasting my money. Back to the drawing board to find a multi button mouse without a 60 grit sandpaper coating.

Because the smooth texture gets all sticky after you've had the mouse awhile and the rough texture does not. You can get this exact same mouse from the RedDragon brand though with a smooth texture. The Reddragon M913. I'm actually the opposite, I was going to buy the Redragon before realizing it had a smooth texture and am now going to get the UTech version instead.

i have had this mouse for years(years before you did this video infact) and, love this thing, have had several friends buy them, nobody has had a bad thing to say, other then that thumb ledge being a bit short, if they addressed that, the thing could be near perfect...and the software does need an update, even if it was unskinned just a basic windows app old skool style, nobody i know would care... just update it so its more functional, either way, i still like it better then my razer mice, naga, orboros, and my g700, if the g700s had mech side buttons and was a bit larger, it would be nice but...the buttons are so damn mushy... and its too small for my hands when long term gaming... the g600's lack of thumb ledge and that 3rd button botherd me, sold it to a buddy(at the time, you couldnt disable or reprogram the 3rd finger button.. and whatever it was set to drove me crazy....i was told they fixed that...but still..ugg...will take this mouse over the g600 any day....) what impressed me was... this thing dosnt have any of the tracking issues the wireless naga's have had, even turned all the way up, it works fine on a wood desk, any mouse pad i have tried cloth or plastic.... my pant leg... i rarely run it above 6400(3 screens) i actually have all profiles maxxed at 8400 or 8600....close to what my last favorite mouse could do, i think i set my min at 1200 or 1600... i havent found the need for lower even in games that dont handle high mouse dpi well(like dirty bomb..) im quite happy to say, this mouse is worth its price, just wouldnt waste money on the special color versions..the gold one looks like it would flake/peel/wear over time...
