Back in the day, My girlfriend was coming over to my house after we've been fighting. As soon as she walked through the door I hit play on the cassette tape & we danced to "Fairytale Lover" and she forgave me or forgot why she was mad about. Thank you UTFO ( untouchable force organization)

This was me and my first boyfriend song. This was when I was allowed to have a boyfriend only in my mother's presents. He was only allowed to visit me on Saturdays and Sundays. In the 80s. My mom was determined to make sure we didn't become a teenage mother like her. I was so in love with my first boyfriend, and he was very respectful of me. But I think he was more scared of my mom. Back in the day, when you can call the radio station and request a song to be played to your significant other, my boyfriend would always request fairytale lover for us. We are now living different lives, and things happen in our lives, but we still stay in touch. And yes, I never got pregnant as a teenager, so what my mom did for me and my sister worked out. She basically broke the cycle. Me and my sister never became teenage mothers. Even though I did become a single parent when I was in my mid-twenties. When I was 29 years old, I met my future husband. And we had a son together and had a beautiful blended family. I'm speaking of my husband in past tense because he passed away of a brain stroke in April of 2022. We were married for 17 years and together for 22 years total. my husband always counted the full years we were together because he said when he first met me, he knew I was going to be his wife. So, I always thank my mother for guiding us and teaching us that we deserved better in life. And by her doing that and wanting better for her daughters than what she was taught. As you can see, I love my mother very much😊❤

It was 1986 when I met my very first true boyfriend who I fell in love with. Back in Bronx New York. I was 16 going on 17 and he was 17. He invited me to a Halloween party and this song came on and it was my first time dancing a slow, jam song with the boy, and I fell in love with him that night And went out and bought the record from the regular Shop the next day and played it over and over and over and drove my mother. Crazy! We dated about a year and a half and I was so in love but school and everything grew apart, and we ended up going our separate ways Came back together once maybe 20 years ago and then never saw him again after that. He died three years ago from Covid, but he will always have a place in my heart as my first true love.💕
