@@charlesnewborn3760 Actually, you can see 2v2 is a valid game when you see uThermy is sucking sometimes. He clearly plays it wrong. His huge 1v1 experience doesn't count. Watch the first game the opponent had all the map, they stand still while he was making a huge army. They should have constantly harassed since they have APM advantage 2v1.

The fact that Hydralisks went from the Zerg army backbone (sc1) to 'maybe use sometimes' in SC2 is sad. Hydralisks are my favourite zerg unit ever. Absolute badasses. I also still preffer the 'acid attack' they had in SC1 as compared to the needle spit they have now.

To be precise, at equal upgrades, a mothership does slightly less dps than 6 stim marines. In a more practical situation, marines have +1 upgrade, mothership's +0, you're targeting 1 armor units, the mothership has slightly less dps than 4 stim marines.

The thing about hydra's is you need either lings or roaches in front. They key is to never lose Hydra's. Take fights when you have something to absorb. Its the gas count. If you are losing them, even in small numbers you never max. They outrange roaches by 1 so a wall of roach and a wall of hydra doubles your concave effectively. Roaches are the tankiest low tier unit. Combine with burrow heal and always a few infestors in back like u had.

I have been playing 2vs2 for many years, and in my exerience 2vs2 with random ally is more like 2v1 with occasional help. When I played with an actual friend they kinda had awareness of my build and what to expect from me in terms of skill, and vice versa - we will both generally know what to exepct from each other in terms of econony\army\ungrades by X minute mark. Though clutching a 1 vs 4 in 4vs4 felt good as hell.

The hydralisk new upgrade SHOULD ONLY BE USED like a "blunk". Hydras have crazy dps when upgraded especially. So if you get a chunk of them and dash under a few BC's or even on TANKS the ability becomes really good. It's almost never useful as a retreating option.

I think what really made the hydra build possible, was the early game harrass. It set the stage for you to macro up, where normally you'd have to trade blows with the early game push (which Hydras ironicly don't really trade well with)

G1- That was nice of you saying ; good defense my friend. - That very first non-surround was unfortunatley flat out horrible, and he would most likely have lost the game in the initial push if it had been a 1v1. - But. I kinda think I subconciously could convince myself that "its the zergs job to defend early" in a Z+P lineup. One thing id like to see, is a SC 2v2 community that doesnt focus on the DCd player. Just to make things a bit more fair. Ofcus the gone player should be killed eventually, but focus should be the remaining human player. Alternatively, the weakest player from the full team could leave so its a 1v1 with bots. I know.. lost mmr n shit, so its not gonna happen. But I would smile if it became a thing I think it was a very good call from your team when he called "back" - you said you mebbi woulda perferred a basetrade, but they woulda rolled over you sooo fast. It was good you stopped them. Either way, it was good defensive teamplay. A pleassure to watch the syncronisation of your moves Hydralisk, the new blink-stalker?? G2 - That was painfull from the first encounter, idc if win or lose. g1 was so much better for entertainment

Okay, so I'm a noob, but honestly, that first game looks like what they did was had one guy macro and the other do nothing but build their economy. Once he built it enough, he disconnected himself causing the other player to get all those resources so the macro player basically had infinite resources to work with.
