If anybody is wondering: The Video the opponent in the first match posted is a song by Adam Sandler "Steve Polychronopolous". He posted the link to the video in chat. (A quick search on YT will find you the song). For whatever reason he posted the song, I cannot fathom.

One type of proxy hatch I've seen PiG do, that I think you've over looked. You take a queen and a drone to the other side of the map. You proxy the Hatchery. Cancel it, then throw down a creep tumor right away into the limited amount of creep the hatchery spawned. It's a little expensive, but you'll have forward creep that can and will break the opponents brain.

I wouldn't consider that a proxy hatchery though. I think it breaks the spirit of the challenge too much.

That would be an interesting concept for a new series: Aggressive Creep to GM. Pool and Overlord Speed into fast Lair, morph a couple Drop Overlords, then just pick up Queens and fly all over the map dropping Creep Tumors. Bonus would be that if it goes into the late game, you can effectively build Nydus anywhere you want.

Really happy about the longer episodes, I haven't complained because I'm qutie happy that you put out videos so consistantly but the longer videos are great and it does feel bad when we've gotten used to longer episodes and new ones drop that are only 25 minutes

Pair Build sounded like an interesting challenge: every building you build, must be built in pairs, meaning the second must be started before the first ends. You build a second expansion nexus, you better get a third expansion too. Pylons will be dropped twice. Two cyber cores? Optional cap on units.

An idea for a ZvZ build: Instead of making a proxy hatchery, use the opponent's hachery creep to put the spines there. That would save 300 mats which could be translated into 2-3 additional spines? So basically you'll use your enemies base as your proxy hatch to make the spine rush.. Maybe it's a bit out of the scope of Proxy Hatch but something I'd like to see you try :), you could perhaps wait for the enemy zerg to finish his 2nd hatchery, and wait with 4-5 well timed drones to be able to instantly build the spines.

uthermal, you really have to focus on droning up more when you're fighting zerg, denying your opponent 1 base means that as long as you have drones at your proxy hatch you're guaranteed to have a better eco than them

I saw that last game live from MightyKiwi's channel, he was fairly nervous that the game would draw out and you might have a chance at catching up in the macro game (we all knew it was you) though at his level in the ladder, most of his games are against people at similar levels. It was the first time I've seen a pro face off against someone I knew and was watching live, which I thought was cool, cause I don't usually watch people on twitch. A bit of a sidenote, but I managed to beat him a couple days earlier, with my main race. It was by far the highest level opponent I've ever beaten (or faced off against in that matter) in a long drawn out macro game, in my worst matchup (PvZ). We were familiar with each other since I played in an Aus offline tournament which he watched and it was quite the honor to face off against him (and then beat him to! +66 points :o)

I think the 20-25 minute episodes are better overall, but a longer episode like this is great every now and then, especially when you're up against GM players.

Also, that ZvZ against Zesty was bonkers! I miss the 2015-16 era of LotV, when ZvZ was all ling/bane wars. The matchup eventually turned away from that towards Roach wars, and I was never very good with Roaches. There was a long period where almost every pro game was primarily Roach vs. Roach and I hated it

In game 3 it would've been sick to use that creep tumor to quickly go nydus, and burrow with roaches using lings to push back any units after scan comes up then smash the other bases with ling runs

it's PolychronopOUlos, where poulos means child (common ending word on family names) And as the music is about a fictionnal character, it fits the average greek names ending with -poulos Not much else

I don't understand the disparity in resources during the ZvZ with that Zesty dude. He was farming on 1 base and had 1 extractor up but was still able to produce a lot of lings and banelings with 3-4 queens while uThermal had two base up and was farming on his 2nd base. Unreal.

man im ok with these challenges, but is there a chance for you to dedicate a series for proper starcraft?? i mean if you still have an account that you compete upper side of ladder just post them, you dont even need to edit those.. raw footage of high lvl starcraft against best of the ladder. im having really hard time to find these, i dont have time for twitch and i bet there are ppl like me. harstem uploads those time to time but its generally too short 1-2 games.. and thats it. its like you are serving candys all the time but at some point some of your audience may want some proper food for change. other than that awesome content as always. keep up the good work hope you reach your goals.

I have never played SC2.. but played a LOT of Broodwars back in the day.. I dont know the buildings required for Lurkers.. Is there a reason he doesnt use them at all? Is there a lot required to make them? They not a fast unit to be able to get out? I know im 3mths late to the party, kinda hoping maybe someone maybe able to answer.. Love the vids!
