Nevermind proxyhatches, this is the last episode of this year from Thermy! Lets go 75k and beyond in 2023! Cheers everyone and a special cheers to you Marc for being the single best content creator for SC2 out ther right now. I have noticed against zerg you are usually quite far behind due to banelings. They completely counter proxy spines. I know you don't like playing them, but unfortunately I don't see much of a win condition against high level zerg. They will have defenders advantage and banelings. Roaches won't work unless in high number.

15:00 Wouldn't aggressive creep tumor in his 3rd base or one near his rear/2nd natural help a lot if he wasn't paying attention? If you managed to get a near-cliff tumor your creep would spread up the ramp and give you vision to a lot of his stuff.
@pondracek2 жыл бұрын
Units lost vs Z is misleading when banelings are involved. When the stats are equal, the opponent is still ahead, because banelings that self-detonate aren't counted. (Banelings that are killed by the opponent still are, even if they subsequently kill a clump of marines with their splash, but the method of termination matters.)
@henningbreede64282 жыл бұрын
This is just not true at all. They do not show up in the shift+L tab as units lost, but they are 100% counted as resources lost.

Banneling optimisation is 1 banneling cannot kill 1 banneling. So groups of two bannelings is optimal if they explode on target. If itsa fortified position 3 gives you a back up one to die. You can burrow them also and use htem as banneling traps... Effectie against terran, since terran relies on Scans far to much over ravens. Ravens prevent banneling bombs... using E to explode them verse A move is what I find most peopel struggle with. If your bannelings are too close, then what happens is they kill otehr bannelings and have not exploded, the jsut die to no effect. So double / tripple groupings of bannelings are effective. The area space is you want about 2/3 banneling space ot avoid its aoe killing all your bannelings. Burrow is really good early game or countering against air problems on mineral lines. classic... while a a tower is up, but more often its better to jsut have air, or hydralisk opportunity.... Banneling overlord drops are pretty fun to... overlord trasnports are extremely cheap... in teh sense of what they offer and conversion rate.... breaks ahead of other races at 3 overlord transports.

nvm, bannelings apparently don't do friendly fire anymore.. hmm A move it is.

From what I got watching uthermal play this, just hold the ramp. Let him take the natural. Because he is always happy to see terrans building a bunker next to the hatch. I think getting two bunkers and a tank should be a comfortable hold. Second cc to drop double mules and expand eventually is a good bet too.
@alk6722 жыл бұрын

I want you to analyze your own game, and see how fast the game changes when those bannelings come into play. Taking out Thors, groups of marines, etc etc. There is no wall off capable of stopping a banneling rush. Trust me, beats a spine crawler and zerglings push. Once you now incorporated bannelings with wall breaks and spine crawler pushes your cheese will go faster. 6 minutes isn’t really a lot of time. Practice, practice with bannelings. If you aren’t good now, you will be if you practice at it. Every professional you see started out as a fumbling newbie.

in the last game what i don't understand is why people don't just make a single tank, tech into stim pack, combat and atleast +1 if not 1/1 slowly break out of your base and expand into a 1-2 base all in when your timings finish. even if you don't think a full assault will result in any meaningful damage you can still do a double drop for harassment while you ahve tank + bunker defense at home on the ramp
