Reality (which is really just sense experience and what can be inferred by that) only matters because it effects the pleasure vs pain experience. Just because a circumstance doesn't match a person's state of pleasure, it doesn't mean that the pleasure state isn't the primary consideration. It could mean we have incorrectly evaluated the circumstances.

Learning gets tiring on the brain after a while. That's why they leave.
