Utility Area Organization - Laundry And Utensils Cleaning Area
This video is on Utility Area organisation. Utility area is a place where we keep our washing machines or wash utensils; they are mostly either at the back of the bathroom or kitchen. But as this area is almost hidden, it is sometimes ignored and is used as a dumping zone. It has happened with me also, but the aim was always to have an organised and functional utility area. In this video, I have shared few utility area organisation tips which may help you to design or renovate your Utility area.

Shall i give you one idea.. you keep a towel under the utensils basket to catch dripping water. Instead you can put a baby mat that is cushioned from top and have a waterproof bottom so that dripping water doesn't reach the countertop and can easily be dried. Please Let me know how is the idea.. because you are my guru in organising.

Very well organized, but you have a separate utility area, but every where you won't get such a big area for laundry, if it's big and own house you can plan for same, but not in rented or small houses

Please try to replace dish washing sponge with bamboo brush, all cleaning products which are full of chemicals with vinegar, baking soda and some essential oils! Great .. I use my utility in similar way but also use it for ironing n folding laundry. So I have baskets for hangers n hooks to hang ironed clothes n racks to keep its essentials. I don’t have cupboards.. only platform in L shape . Long side has washer n dryer machines n a closed area for my AC unit ( to hide) n smaller side has sink. I have several racks n I put labeled baskets with similar stuff as yours n it looks pretty too . Best part about my area is view .. full windows n city view so no one feels bored or alone there . I have laundry baskets n dustbin there too but cleaning supplies only for kitchen n laundry are kept here . Outside cleaning n bathroom essentials are in a Separate closet outside. I don’t want mixing of things by helpers . My helper chops n uses mixer grinder also in this area for convenience n keeping kitchen clean .

Also, would request you to make a video on how to clean and maintain luggage/travel bags. Madam. Fantastic ideas. I am following every one of it and make more ideas out of it. Thanks first for that. As you said in this video that since holes where not provided, so that you hide the broom under the shelf. I will suggest you one idea madam. Put two holes on the opposite sides of the handle edges. Tie a strong rope. Hang it. Done. Hope you like this idea. Holes can be done with hot knife. 🙂
