Excellent video. Thanks so much. I followed your example and was able to replace the two bearings on my submersible pump. Even though mine was a different make, after checking I found that my bearings were the same as yours. I also found the capacitor in mine was fried and replaced it at the same time. Saved me a quite a few $$. I put my armature in the freezer while I waited on the bearings to arrive. The bearings went on fairly easily.

Great Video, You we’re a good help. My pump did nothing. I pulled the sump screen off the bottom, put a socket on the impeller nut and it wasn’t locked up. I gave it a spin and the motor started and ran as smooth as glass. The start capacitor on top was swelled up and leaked some grey junk. It was just the start capacitor. Replaced and it’s fixed. I used a thin film of black RTV silicone to reseal all assembly points.

I have a flowtech submersible utility pump FP0S1300X-08 no capacitor, not seized up, but water got inside the motor, was hoping to let it air out after completely taking it apart, didn't have any luck getting it to run bummer.

Very informative because i have a sump pump sitting in my shed that stopped working and was getting ready to work on it. you already had the bearings but do you know where to get them and how to figure out what size . Thanks for suck a great video

608 bearings are found almost everywhere. Bearing shops, on-line, skate shops, you name it. They are one of the most popular bearing sizes in existence. I do have a link to a ten pack of 608 2RS (double seals) in the description. To measure bearings sizes, I use a digital caliper. One of the most useful tools any garage or workshop can't be without :-)

Not all submersible/utility pumps are oil bathed - including this specific one. If you have one with oil, then replace the oil with the type and amount that was in it as per the manufacturer's specifications.

It's called a "gear puller". There are actual bearing pulling tools as well with only two pulling tabs so they are generally easier to hook up, but I had to make that gear puller work since I didn't have the correct bearing puller.

Only lubrication in this specific pump is the grease in the two sealed bearings that were replaced.

I have a 3 year old Hartell LTA -1UL utility pump that just died. It stopped pumping and got very hot. It had a hum to it and i had to let it cool off. It stopped working even after cooling off. Are these pumps repairable ?
