Wow as a somali this is very inspiring. Congrats man. I have been living in Canada since i was a child and i have always dreamed of moving back to somalia to start my own camel farm. The cultural barrier and/or detachement of being away from somalia for so long has played a major role in my decision process. Back in my childhood years there was this mzungu who was doing research on camel and he could speak the local dialect fluently. He was so much into our culture to the point of him being nicknamed "Lchodoi" and his other name was "Supkein". I bet that man must piers Simpken! congratulations for inspiring us Mr. Piers

I’m super curious as to what the meat taste like? How versatile is it when cooking? Can cook like a steak and or stew the meat? Can you Make jerky out of it etc etc? I am surprised that camels can produce 8 litres of milk per day. Most Zebu cattle produce not more than 2 litres. The camels are more economical than the Zebu cows. Mr Piers you have inspired many and most potential camel farmers have learned about management.

Camel milk is so expensive here in Canada it's casein free and lactose free lots of healing properties I wish I could get hold of it. It also very popular in the Autism community how about dehydration it into powder and exporting some or selling online.

Camel milk and all milk are at best in terms of in richness of multitude of nutrition in the form of RAW milk from the animal to the table. RAW means, nothing is done to the milk after milking it. Pasteurization is cooking the milk in ultra high, higher than regular fire temperatures which is achieved in electricity @12:21 he admits it pasteurizing with electricity. Pasteurization kills all nutrients and minerals specially the highly important ones known as “trace minerals”. This milk lacks major benefits. This milk is no longer natural and should be avoided. Powered cow milk from China might be better if camels milk is pasteurized. Please, teach your staff to do better and with hygiene and wipe the udders of the she camels before milking them. That’s better than pasteurization.
